STILLNESS - An act I did not realize I had not yet learned in my life; rather I have conditioned myself to do the opposite… work grind hustle, and whereas there is nothing wrong with grinding, I have realized in the past few months that I need stillness in my life for it allows a moment of grounding and restoration. Stillness allowed me to FEEL what the grind was blocking and be within myself and my thoughts. Its not always pretty, but I know it’s healing for my soul .. so 2023

Woke up this morning feeling blah.
My bedroom window was open and my fan spinning from yesterday’s humidity. I welcomed the May rain this morning and didn’t want to get out of bed. May is a hard month for me. Then I remembered I got a new hoodie as a gift and today was the perfect day to bust it out. I have watched @sew_trill bloom since the beginning of her ‘Water Me’ series. To me, the ‘flower face’ represents beauty and growth through a time that may be not so easy, in my case grief. My new hoodie was the energy and reminder that I needed to keep blooming through my journey.
