A constellation of glass, suspended beneath the stars 💫

In Park City, Utah, designer @kimberlyparkerdesign imagined a custom chandelier that would transform a 20-foot stairwell beneath an oculus skylight in her ‘Falling Stars’ project by @upwalldesign .

Hammerton helped to bring that vision to life with 25 individually crafted pieces of glass, each shaped and positioned specifically for the home. Together, they create an installation that feels weightless, dynamic, and celestial.

One of the most interesting “wonders of the world” sits about an hour away from Hammerton… so we did what we do best.

The vast, surreal landscape of Utah’s Bonneville Salt Flats became the inspiration for this custom chandelier, designed and handcrafted in by our team.

Now installed at the Salt Lake City airport, it carries that same quiet expanse into an architectural space.

Crystal glass flowers bloom through hand-crafted metal in this custom Trellis fixture, inspired by a cherry blossom growing through a garden trellis.

I honestly wasn’t sure if I’d live long enough to see this day…

The last 5 years have been wild. Between…

😷Taking incredibly difficult classes like Differential Equations from my apartment during the pandemic,

🧠Getting diagnosed with brain cancer 20 days before Maddie and I’s wedding,

🩻Going through chemo and radiation all during my junior core,

And then happier things like…

💍Marrying the love of my life @maddie_d_seegmiller,

✏️Design Internships at amazing companies like Forge, Haworth, and Rocketship,

🇳🇱Performing Design Research at Dutch Design Week in the Netherlands, and

🛳️Amazing trips around the world with my family,

It has been quite the ride.
So grateful for all of the support I’ve gotten along the way. Excited for what comes next!

Happy anniversary so my dearest love and best friend. A year ago, about 20 days before we got married I was diagnosed with brain cancer. Maddie had every right to leave me and find someone else, but she stuck by my side and I will love her forever for it. Maddie has been by my side through the best and the worst - Disney firework shows and brain surgery. I am so grateful for you and am excited for eternity. I love you Maddie. 🐑🐏 by @davis756
