One of the moments we shared during Button Ball was a closer look at the heart of Davis House. If you joined us Saturday, thank you for being part of such a meaningful evening. If you couldn’t make it, we’d love to share a glimpse of the work that happens here every day.

As Williamson County’s only Child Advocacy Center, Davis House CAC provides a safe, child-focused environment where children who have experienced abuse can receive forensic interviews, child and family advocacy, trauma-informed therapy, and coordinated support, all at no cost to the families we serve.

Every child deserves the chance to heal and write a brighter chapter. Thank you for becoming the hero in a child’s story by helping us raise awareness, strengthen our community’s response to child abuse, and ensure local children and families have the support they need when they need it most. 🤍🛡️

The Fifth Annual Muscle Shoals to Main Street, hosted by YOUR Community Media and YOUR Williamson in partnership with @visittheshoalsal and presented by @carlockmotorcars, will take place Tuesday, November 17, at the @franklintheatre! 🎶

The Muscle Shoals Allstars, featuring Grammy-winning artist Gary Nichols and Angela Hacker, will travel from Muscle Shoals to Main Street to bring the sound and spirit of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to the stage. Made up of experienced musicians who have spent years playing, recording and performing across the region, the band draws on Muscle Shoals' deep musical history and its connection to soul, R&B, rock, blues and country.

The community partner for the event is @davishousecac, the only child advocacy center serving Williamson County for children who have experienced sexual or severe physical abuse. Through this event, organizers hope to raise awareness of the organization and encourage donations.

A child recently left these words on the sequin wall in our sensory room:
“You got this” and “You are brave.”

Such a simple message, but exactly what we hope every child who comes through Davis House is reminded of. 💙

This room was made possible by Ed and SuSu Silva, and since Ed’s recent passing, moments like this feel especially meaningful. His impact is still here in the laughter, the drawings, the messages left behind, and the children who get to feel safe in this space.

To the child who wrote this: we hope you know these words are true for you, too. by @davishousecac

For Brad Hopkins, this night is about more than football. 🏈

Brad’s support of Davis House comes from understanding what it means for a child in our community to have a safe place to be heard and people ready to stand beside them through what comes next.

On October 29, he’s bringing a couple of familiar faces with him.

Brad Hopkins, Derrick Mason and Kevin Dyson are coming together at 111 Motorcars for Remember the Titans: Celebrating the Story. Creating a Legacy.

Three former Titans. One stage. And an evening built around the stories, memories and moments from an era of Tennessee football that so many of us remember.

Guests will hear the three legends sit down together for a live conversation, behind-the-scenes stories and audience Q&A, surrounded by the incredible cars at 111 Motorcars.

And there’s a greater purpose behind the night.

Every ticket helps Davis House Child Advocacy Center continue providing forensic interviews, advocacy and specialized trauma-focused therapy to children and families in Williamson County at no cost to them.

Come for the Titans stories. Be part of what those stories can make possible for children today.

Our Davis House family is deeply saddened by the passing of Ed Silva, a dear friend and longtime supporter of our mission. ❤️

When Ed was first introduced to Davis House, he was shocked by what he learned about child abuse in our community and troubled that more people weren’t aware of the need.

In his own words, “I was personally shocked to think that I’ve been in this community as long as I have been, and didn’t know that there was such a high incidence of child abuse, and child sexual abuse. It was kind of disturbing to learn of that and think, ‘why aren’t we more proactive in supporting it?’”

For Ed and his wife, SuSu, learning about the need quickly became a desire to do something about it. After visiting Davis House, they asked how they could help. When they learned how important a sensory environment could be for the children we serve, they chose to make our Sensory Room possible.

Ed later reflected, “It is one of the most impactful things we’ve ever done in our 50 years in this community.”

And his impact is still felt in that room every day.

We are, and forever will be, reminded of Ed when we hear a child’s laughter coming from the Sensory Room, when we walk in to find a new drawing on the easel, or when we see a new message on the sequin board.

Those moments are part of the legacy Ed leaves at Davis House. They remind us of someone who learned about a need in his community, asked what he could do, and then chose to do something meaningful about it.

We are deeply grateful for Ed’s belief in our mission and for the lasting impact he and SuSu have made for children and families. Our hearts are with SuSu, their family, and all those who knew and loved him.

His impact here will not be forgotten. 💙 by @davishousecac

It’s Dolly Day at Davis House! 💗🦋

We loved getting to celebrate with Tommy Wolosin of Networks that Work, one of our amazing partners and volunteers, and our Associate Director, Lindsey Honea.

Tommy truly embodies so much of what Dolly Day celebrates: generosity, kindness, and showing up for others. Through his volunteer work and continued support of Davis House, he helps make a difference for children and families right here in our community.

We’re so grateful for people like Tommy who lead with heart and help make our community stronger. Happy Dolly Day, y’all! 💕🎶

We’re COOL again! ❄️🤍 We’re so grateful to share that all of our A/C units are officially up and running!!

When our system went down, our community stepped up. Friends -both new and old- showed up and donated, shared, connected us with resources, and helped make sure the children and families we serve could continue receiving care in a safe, comfortable space.

Throughout Davis House, you’ll see the words, “You are not alone.” Over the past few weeks, our community showed exactly what that means.

To everyone who helped make this possible, THANK YOU for showing the children and families we serve that their community sees them, supports them, and stands with them. 💙 by @davishousecac

We had such a great Saturday at Fairview Nature Fest! 🍂

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Davis House table, picked up a Family Safety Starter Sheet, or simply came over to say hello. We’re grateful to be part of the Fairview community. 💙

We were also glad to see some of our Child Protective Investigative Team partners from Fairview Police Department stop by. Our CPIT partners each have different roles, but we share one goal: keeping children at the center of every response. taken in Bowie Nature Park by @davishousecac

This room was designed with a child in mind. 💙 This is the forensic interview room at Davis House, where children ages 3–18 from across Williamson County have a safe, child-focused place to share their story with a specially trained forensic interviewer.

Behind the scenes, law enforcement, child protective services, the District Attorney’s office, advocates and other partners come together at Davis House with one shared priority: keeping the child at the center of the process. By working together, we can help reduce additional trauma and begin building a path toward safety and recovery.

From the little table to the weighted teddy bears, every detail has a purpose. 🧸
