We are 1 month away from CDE's first Music Festival, celebrating emerging musical artists in Chicago!

Join us for two nights of music, dance, and good vibes as we uplift and celebrate the incredible talent of up-and-coming artists in our community.

Featuring a lineup of exciting local musicians, Copasetic Vibrations is all about creating space for new voices, building community, and celebrating the creativity shaping Chicago’s music scene.

Light refreshments will be provided, and each group will have a merch table where audience members can browse and support their favorite artists.

Stay tuned as we'll spotlight each artist as we approach the festival, and catch the vibes November 13–14 at CDE!

A year of creation is on its way, but first, there are some things I need to address.

Mentally and physically, I’ve been down bad these past couple of years. I lost my home. I lost substantial friendships. I lost momentum in my career.

The depletion of self happened eons ago, but I’ve been hustling my way through it all.

Moving forward, I know I need to make some life changes. I’m not totally sure what those changes look like yet, but I know it’s time to move on and move up.

Thank you to my unwavering support system. Y’all uplift me in ways I’m sure you don’t even realize.

DanceAfrica Chicago 2023, revived by Muntu Dance Theatre, celebrated African and African American dance with a "Lineage" concert featuring Muntu, Najwa Dance Corps, M.A.D.D. Rhythms, and Afriky Lolo at the Logan Center for the Arts in August, alongside workshops and a marketplace, showcasing heritage and connection to the broader African Diaspora festival tradition. The event highlighted traditional and contemporary styles, linking tap's origins to African roots, and was part of a vibrant summer of dance in Chicago.

"A M.A.D.D. Mixtape"
will transport the party from the club to the stage and bring the audience along for the choreographic ride.
