Looking for a summer ☀️ read? By the pool or in the garden? Well. A few years ago I wrote this - a nice short but wholesome novel about the twists and turns in one woman's life...the happy accidents of silva jones to be more precise!

You can find it on Amazon as an ebook or print on demand. Sadly I have no copies to hand to sell so curse Bezos and his easy to use writer-friendly platform, but know that buying and enjoying my novel offsets his bullshit. Okay love you bye!! by @dawnislosingtheplot

🧠✨️NEUROSHINY🧠✨️ I've not mentioned it in a couple of days but I have a book out ;) in all seriousness I'm so grateful for the response to this. I think it's the most emotionally naked I've ever been in print. I'm so happy sharing has helped others. And long may that continue 🧠✨️
remember if you want to read but funds aren't there you can message me for a free PDF copy. Of course buying it is gorgeous and helps me survive this economy and my brain's dopamine hunger but I tried to price it accessibly and I'm more than aware that some have absolutely NOTHING and may need it the most. No questions asked.
And with that...happy Saturday! What you getting up to? 💖💖 by @dawnislosingtheplot

COMING VERY SOON! In a matter of weeks I will be in full-on S.A.D. hibernation mode (it's already nipping at me a little bit, tbh) for FOUR MONTHS and thus this is my final poetry gig of 2026. Would be great if YOU (yes, YOU!) were there!

I'm doing a slightly tweaked version of my one hour Fringe show - Poetry for People Who Think They Don't Like Poetry! - from over the summer, with visuals and all sorts! It'll be a lot of fun!

The amazing @ginnb900 is also doing a feature set - including some songs! - and we have no less than three BRILLIANT (capitals entirely deserved) openers doing 15 mins each to get you thoroughly warmed up!

A real celebration of local poetry and spoken word. DON'T DELAY, GET A TICKET TODAY (The venue isn't massive)!

Q: Where did all the exclamation marks go, James?
A: I used 'em all in this post by the look of it...

TICKET LINK IN BIO (Advance tickets are just £5)

We’re getting witchy for the next @ginnysmaldon Poetry Club!

See you in all your spooky finery on 2nd October. We can’t wait to hear your surreal, gothic, and just downright charming poems (see what we did there?)

No previous writing or performance experience needed. Come along and try out your poetry with the most supportive, creative cheerleaders around!

We’ll see you upstairs at Ginny’s in Maldon High Street from 7pm on Friday 2nd October.

The instant I took this a cold descended upon me. Being cute does come with a heavy cost it seems. But it is my gift to you all by @dawnislosingtheplot

We’re planning on being (sort of) wholesome at poetry for once.

It turns out, you get older and you enjoy touching grass (or identifying birds if you’re @dawnislosingtheplot) so we thought we’d make NATURE the theme of our next @dragonflydrag workshop on 24th September.

Will it descend into chaos? Almost certainly, but know we had good intentions.

As per usual, workshop starts at 6:30pm followed by the open mic where you can test out all of your new poems. We’ll then be followed by the gorgeous New Talent Night, so make sure you stick around to watch the wonderful performers try their hand at drag! taken in The Dragonfly Lounge by @dawnislosingtheplot
