started to intentionally read only women authored books these last couple of years but lately, i've also been reading mostly Asian too. I love that for me 🫶🏼

Jokingly went to the last book sale saying I'm Chinese now (jk lang sa atin pa rin ang West Philippine sea!!!) but I have been embracing Chinese media lately (minus Ambassador Jing Quan's statements charez). Anyway good luck to me and my growing TBR 🫶🏼

Also big thanks to @_fullybooked for my ARC for ahn love by frances park, out soon from @penguinbookssea 🫡 by @dawnlanuza

arts and crafts time 😂 i used to wrap all my book orders like this (with printed tags and all) so it's nice to go back and peruse what's left in my gift wrap stash (not a lot, i dont even have board papers left so no tags today). Thanks again to everyone who joined my authorversary giveaway last weekend! I'm shipping these books to the winners tomorrow 🫶🏼 by @dawnlanuza

I'm turning 12 this year! 🎂🥳
I saw my debut on the shelves last week (it's been a minute since I saw it on shelves, my contract ended a while ago so those are old stocks from my previous publisher) along with my other friends' books!
I was honestly not planning anything for my 12th authorversary since I have no new releases out but seeing my debut on the shelves made me feel very nostalgic. 🥲 I decided to create a giveaway for my followers who don't have a copy of my last poetry collection, I Must Belong Somewhere, yet. IMBS didn't get a book launch (it released during the pandemic/ lockdowns) so it remains to be the child that I will always usher towards my readers' hands. 💚
Please join and grab yourselves some treat - my authorversary is on October 3rd, the day Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was, cause you know, Mean Girls 5ever. 🫶🏼 by @dawnlanuza

Been a minute since I used this mic so here I am sharing 5 things I think are still worth buying or purchasing as an author and a reader 📖✍️

Took my sweet time with this one. Since watching #PursuitofJade, I have been looking for more Chinese historical romance books. Of course, it makes sense to try #danmei novels (thank God Seven Seas published a lot of them). I have been meaning to try them for a while, but I didn't sit long enough with it to peruse the selection. I started eyeing them again when I was in Auckland, and something about this title just pulled me in. The book didn't disappoint. Dare I say that I've taken longer to finish it the way I stop watching my favorite shows' last episodes, just cause I didn't want them to end. But this is a series, and so maybe I will stop reading Book 4 so it won't end for me, and I can remain stuck inside their universe until I am mentally ready to leave it.
Anyway, that's a long way to say that I've enjoyed it, and it's been a minute since I lingered. I've gotten use to the thrill of finishing something (like a book) right away, I almost forgot how nice it feels to stay. And it was a beautiful space to be in, despite the sadness that it brought. It was so gentle, too. Nothing abrupt, or too violent, or unnecessary. It was like being cradled through a sleepless night, or held while walking through a dark path.
I will miss my friends, Wancheng and Qingyu (but I already have Book 2 just in case I don't want to miss them for too long).
