Exhausted—yes, in body and mind—and finally willing to say this out loud: I will not carry what is not mine anymore.

The word “mental” gets thrown around so carelessly, but the energy behind it is something I feel long before I ever walk into the room. I sense the criticism, the judgment, the passive jabs, and the chaos as it moves toward me, and my whole spirit braces for impact.

That kind of energy is not welcome in my space anymore. Take note: if you bring that near me, you will lose access to me.

I have carried too much, for too long. Grief that has nowhere to go, no place to land, no real resolution.

When the noise stops and the house gets quiet, everything I’ve lost rushes back in all at once—the people, the home, the life that is gone.

The quiet is not peaceful for me; it is loud with memories, fear, and that sick feeling in my chest that reminds me of all that’s missing.

So if I stay busy, if I move, if I dance, if I keep creating—it’s not because I’m “fine.” It’s because I’m surviving. It’s because the silence hurts. It’s because my nervous system and my heart are still trying to heal from blows most people never even saw.
Respect that. Respect my healing.

If your presence feels like a storm, if your words bruise instead of build, if you misuse “mental” as a weapon or a joke…understand this:

—I will choose distance over damage every single time. I am protecting my peace, my healing, and what little strength I have left—and that is not up for debate.

I’m still unpacking & figuring out my new space, but I’m excited to make this apartment feel like home.

I’m loving the beauty of this place and I’m looking forward to meeting new people and making new friendships. I guess that’s all for now.

When I look at these pictures, I don’t just see photographs. I see pieces of a life that has been filled with people, places, memories, lessons, laughter, challenges, love, and so many moments that helped shape the person I am today. I see my brother, my sisters, my mom, my dad, my stepdad, and friends who became family along the way. I see different seasons of my life captured in little pieces of time, each one holding a story of its own. ❤️

Some of these memories take me back to the happiest moments, while others remind me of how much life can change. There were birthdays, holidays, summers, celebrations, everyday moments, unexpected emergencies, difficult seasons, new beginnings, and everything in between. At the time, I didn’t always realize how quickly those ordinary moments would become the memories I would someday hold so closely.

Life has a way of taking us places we never expected to go. We grow, we change, we make mistakes, we learn, we lose people we love, we discover things about ourselves, and sometimes we have to begin again. Along the way, we don’t always get everything right, and I’ve certainly made my share of mistakes. I’ve made choices I would make differently today, but I’ve also learned that every experience can teach us something if we’re willing to listen.

I’m learning that healing isn’t about pretending the difficult things never happened. It’s about finding a way to carry what we’ve been through while still making room for something good ahead. It’s about giving ourselves grace for the person we were before we knew what we know now, recognizing how much we’ve grown, and understanding that becoming a better version of yourself is a journey—not a destination.

I don’t have everything figured out, and I don’t think I’m supposed to. I’m simply trying to keep learning, keep growing, keep loving, and keep finding the beauty in the life that’s still unfolding in front of me.

My story isn’t perfect, but it’s mine. ❤️

Every scar tells a story. Every mistake taught me something. Every heartbreak, setback, wrong turn, and unexpected chapter became part of the person I’m still becoming.

Life has a funny way of teaching us lessons we never asked for. Sometimes we have to lose our way before we find a new direction. Sometimes healing doesn’t look like having everything figured out—it looks like getting back up, trying again, forgiving yourself, and choosing to keep moving forward.

I’ve made mistakes. I’ve fallen. I’ve started over. I’ve had moments when I didn’t recognize myself anymore. But I’ve also learned that being broken doesn’t mean you’re finished. It means there’s still a story being written.

I’m learning to give myself grace for the things I didn’t know then. I’m learning that progress doesn’t have to be perfect, and healing doesn’t have to happen on anyone else’s timeline.

The scars may always be part of me, but they don’t get to define me.

I’m still here. Still learning. Still growing. Still becoming.

And maybe that’s the most beautiful part of the journey. ✨

Broken scars. Stronger heart. Wiser soul.
One day, one lesson, one step at a time. 🦋

Well… apparently we were all just a little crazy, and I have the pictures to prove it. 😂❤️

My brother, my sisters, my parents, and a couple of my best friends—all together in different moments, making memories and smiling through whatever life had going on at the time.

Looking back at these pictures reminds me that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be full of good moments, laughter, and people who made an impression on your heart.

Life has changed, people have changed, and the years have definitely done their thing—but these smiles are still worth celebrating.
