POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

5th September, 2026 — a Saturday spent wandering into the emerald heart of Sikkim with some of my favourite people. 🌿

We hiked to Bar Changey Falls in Martam, Sikkim, and somewhere along those winding trails, beneath the cathedral of trees and the immeasurable green, I felt something inside me soften.

For the first time in my life, I saw a lily growing wild. It stood there quietly — delicate, luminous, impossibly still, entirely at peace with the world around it. Somehow, I found a little piece of myself in that flower.

A year ago around this very time, I was lost in a darkness I didn’t know how to escape. Depression had made the world feel colourless. I’m still healing, but lately, everything seems to be helping me find my way back — the mountains, the greenery, my friends, the quiet, and especially music.

I’ve always loved music. I love Fiona Apple, and her rendition of Across the Universe has always felt particularly tender to me — a beautiful song originally written and released by The Beatles.

And perhaps that’s what I’m learning most: I really, really love life.

I love music. I love my friends. I love getting lost somewhere beautiful. I love wildflowers, aching legs after a long hike, rushing water, quiet moments, and all these strange, fleeting little things that make being alive feel worthwhile.

I’m not completely healed. But I’m no longer where I was.

Maybe healing is simply learning to be still, to be soft, and to bloom wherever you find yourself.

Bar Changey Falls, Martam, Sikkim.
A little farther from the darkness, a little closer to myself. 🌿🤍
