One of our favorite Dawson traditions: Halloween. 4th grade did Thriller. 5th grade did the Viking chant. Middle School had a front flip, a Luigi power-up jump and kung fu pandas. 🎃 Upper School recap coming soon.

“I’ve never had so much fun in my life.” That’s Julia C. (‘27) on acting in a feature film this fall. 🎬

The movie is "Biggest Foot", and it’s her Dawson internship. She’s also keeping up with classes and college applications, with trips between New Mexico and Colorado in the mix. She has some Dawson company, too: Middle School Dean of Students Josh Gaffga is in the movie as well.

The internship program is in its second year. Upper School students can work with partner organizations or find their own, and the school helps make it happen. Julia’s advice for anyone thinking about it: “Do it!”

Alebrijes got Spanish classes across Lower, Middle and Upper School talking to each other. 🦋

Erin Billet’s 8th graders presented their alebrijes entirely in Spanish. Ana Grillo’s Spanish 3 students came with questions, and Melissa Carter’s Middle School Beginning Spanish class joined too, with the 8th graders leading their conversations. Then everybody played a game. Middle School Spanish also teamed up with 2nd graders and kindergartners to make alebrijes of their own.

Thank you to Erin, Ana, Melissa and Soledad Taylor for connecting their classes across divisions.

A full house at Open House and a whole lot of Halloween fun at Boo on Briggs Street!

Thank you to all the families who visited campus, our students who helped lead tours, and the Erie community for welcoming us into the festivities.

Whether on campus or out in the community, it’s always a pleasure getting to know the families around us.

Our first and fifth-grade buddies teamed up to build the ultimate leaf pile before jumping right into it.

One of the best parts of the buddy program is watching these friendships grow. First graders gain an older friend to look up to, while fifth graders get the chance to lead and be someone their younger buddies can count on. by @dawsonschool

A little time on campus might be just what you need.

Our K-12 Open House is this Friday, October 23 (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) and Saturday, October 24 (10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)

Spend sometime getting to know us. We’d love to get to know you too.

Take a look at what our students are creating.

Get to know the teachers who take the time to know you, too.

There’s plenty to explore in our classrooms.

Including the people who make the experiences possible.

This is just a glimpse of what happens here.

See Dawson for yourself this Friday and Saturday. Walk-ins are welcome, or reserve your spot at the link in our bio.

How do you find a school that challenges you, supports you and prepares you for college without leaving you overwhelmed?

Come learn how to choose a great high school (even if it’s not Dawson 😉).

Before the performances, the Haunted Showcase kicked off with Trunk or Treat.

Our upper school students got in on the decorating too.

The costume competition was fierce this year.

Lower School Harmonix takes the stage.

Next up was the Middle School choir,

Talking Heads and Dolly Parton made the setlist.

Not an empty seat in the house.

Let’s do the Time Warp again. 🕰️
