Today I’m sharing After the Rain by Sergei
Bortkiewicz (1877-1952), a composer born in what is now Ukraine, whose music was influenced by composers such as Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff.
His music is filled with lyricism, beauty and emotion, and he remains one of my favorite composers.
Every time I play this song l imagine a field of sunflowers just after a storm. The rain has stopped, the flowers are still covered in droplets of water, and the first rays of sunlight begin to emerge through the clouds.
To me, this piece captures that quiet moment when everything feels fresh again after the rain. 🌻 🩵🎶 by @daya_muse
