Some bonds reach farther than we understand. 🤍

I had the privilege of being the first to bring “Mother” to life on @telanderjohanna ’s Tales of Les Dames Blanches, a new concept album brought to life by an extraordinary all-female cast.

I’ve always believed in spirits and in the possibility that those on the other side may still have messages for us. “Mother” lives right in that space. She is separated from her daughter, but refuses to believe that distance, grief, or even the veil between worlds could sever the bond between them.

There’s something I find incredibly moving about a woman who simply will not stop searching.

“A spirit who has purpose can’t be broken.”

I’m so grateful I got to be the first voice to help her find her way back from the other side.

The many lives of this man. ❤️

Most people who know Jamie know one version of him.

But there are so many.

He’s an actor. A singer. A traveler. An adventurer. A storyteller. A pirate. He’s been Jean Valjean. He’s been The Dude. He’s a jokester who can make just about anyone laugh. He’s the guy who will talk to pretty much anyone, go pretty much anywhere, and apparently pose with pretty much anything.

He has performed for all kinds of audiences in all kinds of places. He’s traveled across the country and around the world, meeting people, hearing their stories, and collecting plenty of his own along the way.

He’s lived in different places. Reinvented himself more than once. Met thousands of people. Had adventures most people would never think to have.

And somehow, after everything he’s already seen and done, he still approaches life like there might be something interesting around the next corner.

There are people who spend their lives watching the world go by.

Jamie has always seemed determined to go see what’s out there.

And maybe that’s the thread through all the many lives of this man: he shows up for life. He talks to people. He makes them laugh. He tries things. He goes places. He collects stories. He makes memories.

And he has one hell of a good time doing it.

Happy birthday to the man who has already lived a hundred lives.

Almost 20 years ago, you walked into my life and somehow, almost immediately, I knew. I had found my person.

You are one of the funniest, kindest, most deeply caring people I know. You love your friends and family fiercely, you show up for people without being asked, and you have this way of making life feel lighter wherever you go. You are generous with your time, your heart, your patience, and somehow still manage to make everyone laugh in the middle of it all.

We’ve had incredible adventures and completely ordinary days. We’ve been through some really hard things, had moments when we had no idea what was coming next, and somehow we always find our way through it together. Usually with a smile, because at the end of the day, we know we have each other.

You make life more exciting just by being in it. You make people feel cared for. You make the people around you feel safe. And after all these years, you are still my best friend, my partner in crime, my adventure buddy, and the person I want beside me for all of it.

I don’t know how else to explain what I knew when we found each other in 2007.

You matched my soul.

Happy birthday to the love of my life. I love you more than I could ever fit into an Instagram caption. I’d choose you in every lifetime.
