hey, how do y’all upload to spotify these days? apparently you need to pay some third party distro just to upload your own damn music? what a scam. our old label put up our last release, so maybe it’s been this way for awhile. idk. by @daymaker_daymade

letter to our friends:: we will be releasing three new songs to the world this friday, oct 13 (10+13=23 get it?). we recorded them in the dying days of 2021, but by the time we got them mixed and mastered erin and egon were living in california. it felt weird to release them without a show, without a fanfare, without being together. as sad as it would be, it would be sadder not to release them at all. i am most proud of these songs than maybe anything else we’ve done and they deserve to see the light. for artists, sometimes releasing the work can be the hardest part. when we give our songs to the world and call them done, they are no longer ours, but become yours. please care for them as we have.

art is always a kind of snapshot of the time and place they were made in. luckily, we’ve always been a little ahead of the curve with that (we did release a song with the chorus “my mask is on” a year before the pandemic). i hope these songs might resonate. they are about labor and being paid fairly. they are about dancing like celestial bodies.

we’ll host this bad boy on bandcamp and maybe spotify. there will be a preorder for a tape. thanks for all the love over the years. erin and egon are moving back to chicago soon and we can share how we’ve grown over the years. we’ll bring the tangerines. 🍊🍊🍊🍊 by @daymaker_daymade

Hey y’all! Now, more than ever, we need to support one another. Buy tickets, buy merch, support each other’s bandcamps. SXSW is amazing but it also turns Austin into a really expensive place. Host bands, spare a buck, and keep the thrive in D-I-Y! by @daymaker_daymade

THOSE WHO WISH TO SING ALWAYS FIND A SONG

Probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done was close up this little space of my heart. So many memories, creations, my whole heart and soul. We will miss you so much Chicago. by @daymaker_daymade

Well, it’s not easy to say this, but our last show has been cancelled. I’d be lying if I said it was a surprised, but we are devastated to not be able to see and squeeze you one last time. We love you and we thank you for the years of sweaty basements, beer soaked summers, and joyous screams. They will not be forgotten. For all of you, forever. 🍊 by @daymaker_daymade
