What an incredible honour.

Stratford has just unveiled a beautiful new mural celebrating the music and musicians who have helped shape our city, and I’m so grateful to be included.

I’ve spent so much of my life making music here, growing up here, writing songs here, performing here, collaborating with wonderful musicians here, and being supported by this community throughout my career. There is something especially meaningful about being recognized in your hometown.

I’m also very proud to be represented alongside so many artists who have contributed to Stratford’s rich musical life, and mindful, too, of the many incredible musicians, past and present, whose work and influence extend far beyond what any one mural could possibly capture.

A special thank you to the @downtownstratford and Kim Griffiths for helping bring this project to life, and to the artist @shanedreverart, the organizers, supporters and everyone else who imagined and supported it. Thank you as well to the City of Stratford for celebrating the music that has been such an important part of our community’s story.

One more Curveball show left, and I’ve been thinking about what an absolutely incredible summer this has been. 🥹

I got to write the music and lyrics for a new musical about the Kroehler Girls, women from my hometown of Stratford, and then actually sit at the piano and play those songs at the @blythfestivaltheatre . How lucky am I?!

My family has come to almost every show, and honestly, I think they’ve had just as much fun as I have. Having them along for this whole crazy adventure has made it even more special.

And one of the best parts has been the people. I’ve made some truly amazing friendships this summer. The kind that happen when you experience something big together, work hard, laugh a lot, survive the crazy days and celebrate the good ones.

It’s been busy, exhausting, ridiculous, joyful and completely wonderful. And I had a couple of big curveballs thrown my way though it all and survived.

I’m tired. I’m grateful. And I’m a little stunned that this is almost over.

What an iconic summer. ❤️

One more show. I’m going to soak up every minute!!!

It’s hard to believe we’re down to the final 8 performances of Curveball.

For the past few weeks I’ve had the privilege of sitting at the piano every night, performing a score I had the joy of writing for this remarkable new Canadian musical.

Watching audiences laugh, cry, and give standing ovations has been something I’ll never forget.

If you’ve been thinking about coming, this is the time. After August 22, this production closes.
