Here’s what thrifting is not: out of style, ripped, or stained clothes, your grandpa’s sweater (although I find grandparents tend to have fantastic style), and only for people who can’t afford to buy new. Here’s what thrifting can be: giving a piece of clothing a second life, adding character to your wardrobe, finding unique pieces, and a sustainable alternative. Meet Rutherford, NJ’s new favorite pop up: Market at The Nest.

This past Saturday I coordinated my very first pop up market!!

The weeks of spiraling, texting, measuring, pricing, and planning fades away when that first person walks through the door to your event. I was glowing with pride. I yapped away to every human who walked through the door. I helped my customers style the items they went home with. I checked in on all of my vendors and made sure their experience was a positive one. Sometimes I struggle to believe in myself, but this weekend proved that I was made for this!

I owe so many thank you’s to everyone who made this event possible.

Firstly, @m_lewko who basically signed me up for this, but he did it because he believes in me, supports me, and knows I’m capable.
@living.bread.bakery Yelena & Yuri, we would not have customers walking through that door if it wasn’t for the delectable sourdough goodies you’ve brought to this community.

Thank you to my mommy who came to run our florals table. You believe in everything that I do and I am so grateful for your support (and employment).

mother’s day shopping in new jersey just got way easier 👀

There’s a Mother’s Day market in Rutherford NJ happening at Living Bread Bakery, hosted by @dayne_exchange and it’s basically a one-stop shop for everything you’d want to gift to mom (or grab for yourself, no judgment).

So instead of running around to 5 different places, you can knock it all out in one spot and make a morning out of it!

Plus get some sourdough bread (who doesn’t love bread?)

They’re also using a ticketing system, so you can browse, shop, and actually enjoy the market without being stuck in one place.

All jokes aside it took more than just me to start @dayne_exchange. But boy am I happy I did!!! When they tell you to stop thinking about it and just do it; they’re right. If you love vintage, antiques, and rare finds with personality, Vintage on Brunswick is your kind of daydream.

Hosted by @rustnretro this open-air vintage market in Jersey City brought together local collectors, antique vendors, and storefront curators for one big street-style thrift fest.

The energy? Communal. The prices? Negotiable. The fashion? Elite.

You could find everything from 90s tees and leather boots to handmade jewelry and full-on retro suitcases (yes, we bought the Betty Boop one 👀).

Everyone was chatting, trading stories, and hyping each other up! A reminder that vintage culture isn’t just about the clothes, it’s about connection.

They’re out here until 5 PM today so run over!
