The perfect Christmas Minis session. Simple, you, a mix of Christmas shots and regular family shots, as christmassy as you like.

This year I’m running three lots of Christmas minis across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Northern Rivers —

We do the first 5 minutes in my simple Christmas scene, get the classic “one for the grandmas” shot where everyone’s looking and smiling, and then we have fun with it 🪩

Jumping all around, family dance parties, frolicking on the beach - all to get a great mix of family photos that truly feel like your family.

Take the afternoon to have some fun, ease into the location with a drink on me, treat yourself to takeout for dinner and make this a family experience you will remember ✨

HI! I’m Jaimee!! How do I even write this without sounding so awkward and still ENTHUSIASTIC WOOo!!

I’m your friendly neighbourhood capturer of memories. I’ve been thinking about getting into family, maternity, couple and birth photography for YEARS, and have had so many moments of clarity around it over the last few months.

I could say so much around this and will eventually, but for now — here’s a few things to help you get to know me (and hopefully there’s something we can relate on that will make us INSTANT besties)

— I have a photographer husband which feels like a bit of a cheat starting out in this space (luxe camera gear and a personal mentor on hand)

— My little girl is the light of my LIFE. She’s so wholesome, so cheeky, truly so funny and makes me see the world through her eyes.

— I’m your classic ‘girlhood loving’ gal. Love reading, big swiftie, watched tsitp just so I could call my girlfriends and talk about it, will happily sit on the couch with you, rose in hand and talk for hours about anything, everything and nothing

— I’ll drink a long black and an iced latte every day of the year, no matter the weather

— I love and crave errand/nothing friends - the kind who will come walk around the shops looking for nothing in particular or fold eachother’s laundry while the kids play

— I want to take photos that are far more about capturing the story and the emotion, rather than the staged shots. I want to capture you in a way you’ll love so much you’ll want the photos on your wall, on a vinyl cover, in a photo album to show the grandies how cool you were 50 years ago

Frolicking in a flower field with your mini in gorgeous matching dress = peak whimsy, peak girlhood 🌼

My dear friend Katie had plans to bring a new collection out for her handmade beauties at @lawmanandco. she had a vision of the dresses in a flower field and she absolutely bought it to life. what a privilege it was to get these photos for her!

This was such a gorgeous afternoon with Ines and Slater, tramping through fields near Byron Bay and racing to beat the mosquitos eeek

Motherhood is never just a stage of life, but is my best and favourite choice in life yet 🤍

I am so passionate about capturing not only their childhood, but your motherhood. The way their tiny hands hand you flowers, the squeals of joys when you lift them up and spin them around. The way you look at them as if they are - because they are - your whole world

Before baby Ezra joined Bree and Ben earthside, we spent a golden evening in their old dairy farm and amongst the cane fields. Dodging muddy puddles and chasing the light we so luckily had between days and days of rain.
These were all shot on 35mm film, and to be entirely honesty I can’t remember the film stock I used without going back through the archives of my camera roll, but I loved the way it held the warm tones of the sunset light.

Maternity sessions like these might just be some of my favourite!

Brittany + Patrick on film before their bub joins them! Experimenting with some slow shutter moments, which of these film photos is your favourite?

This was a glorious evening on their property with their beautiful horses. And 1 especially cheeky horse that kept me on my toes while she tried to eat my bun and camera bag (doesn’t get more fun that this really)

Truly forget that it’s also part of the job to post on here… please note if I’m not posting daily, I’m still here replying to messages, locking in bookings and making friends through this crazy platform because we happen to have a mutual friend or similar tastes in books or music or whatever else it might be

My weekends are filling up here in the northern rivers and I’m so excited for the warmer weather and the longer days 🌞

I also may have finally found the perfect field (not this one) for northern rivers folks who prefer whimsy fields over coastal!
