Day 3: Kolsay Lake, Tary Cafè

Cold cheeks, pink noses, and that fresh mountain air that wakes you right up.

Kolsay Lake looked like a postcard we accidentally walked into. Quiet, still, and so pretty we kept stopping just to stare.

Then we said “sure, let’s do it” and climbed 276 more steps up the hill for lunch 🥲
A little out of breath, a lot excited.

Tary Cafe was warm, cozy, and exactly what tired legs needed. Hot food, big windows, and mountains everywhere you look.

Sore legs, full bellies, happy hearts.

Day 3, you were amazing🤍

Singapore Diaries: Cloud Forest

The Singapore Cloud Forest is like walking into a magical jungle. The first thing you see is a huge waterfall that sprays a cool mist, which feels amazing in Singapore's heat. (it was raining and the weather was great when we visited)The place is packed with plants, flowers, and walkways that take you up high, giving you incredible views of the greenery below.

It feels like exploring a mountain in the clouds, but without the hiking!😜 It's peaceful, refreshing, and perfect for taking photos or just enjoying nature.

If you plan to visit, go early to avoid the crowds. Whether you’re a nature lover or just looking for something unique to do, the Cloud Forest is a must-see! taken in Gardens by the Bay by @dayswithcess

these past few months have been some of the busiest and most demanding. some days, it feels like I need to be everywhere at once…getting things done, keeping up with everything & trying to be present for the people I love.

and if I’m honest, I sometimes feel guilty that I can’t give Aidan as much of my time as I want to or play with Cody as much as he’d like. I know a lot of moms probably understand that feeling of always wishing you could do just a little more.

but slow days like this give me a chance to pause and remember that this busy life is also a blessing. i’m busy doing things I once only dreamed of while still getting to come home to the little moments and the little people and paws that make it all mean something. 🤍 taken in The Highway Escape by @dayswithcess

sometimes I think about my younger self and wonder what she would think if she could see me now.

and I think she’d be proud 🥹

not necessarily because of the things I have but because she knows what it took for me to get here.

i’ve always been a dreamer. sometimes too much of one. 😂i have made decisions that didn’t make sense, trusted the wrong things and the wrong people, took risks I probably shouldn’t have and spent a lot of time being hard on myself for choices I wish I made differently.

but I also quietly fought my way through all of it.

there were so many things I never told anyone. so many times I was struggling but still acted like I was okay because I didn’t want anyone worrying about me.

i rarely asked my parents for help. or anyone, really. not because I didn’t have people who would help me but because I never wanted to be a burden. if I wanted something, I always felt like it was my responsibility to figure out how to get there.

so I did.

sometimes gracefully. sometimes very badly. 😂 but I figured things out.

and now, the older I get, the more I realize that my dreams aren’t even just about me anymore.

i want to make life easier for the people I love. i want my son to have choices. i want my parents to worry a little less. i want to be able to say, “I got this,” when someone I love needs something.

maybe that’s why I keep chasing dreams, even the ones that sound a little crazy.

life hasn’t always been easy but somehow it has still been so kind to me. 🙏

and I don’t ever want to take that for granted.

there’s still so much I want to do. so much I want to build. so many versions of my life I still want to meet.

but today, I’m just proud of the girl who quietly carried so much, made mistakes, learned the hard way and still never stopped dreaming.

my little self would be so proud.

and I think finally, I am too. 🤍🙏
