I’m an only child so being alone isn’t weird for me. I actually love it for the most part, I’m used to it. However, I love shared memories and any excuse for a bit of bonding. This time didn’t quite work out so I ended up going alone and in many ways, I’m glad. There is a real luxury in being alone - going at your own pace, no compromising with decisions and thinking freely at length. It was a real treat! I came home and bragged to my family about how much fun I had. Sometimes you really do just need to block out the noise and focus on your self when you are so many things to so many people in your day to day life. I can’t say I’ll be doing this regularly but I will make a point of adding it to my list of priorities every so often.

I hope you’re all enjoying your bank holiday and getting some deserved rest!

This long awaited spa day at @sopwellhouse was just fabulous and exactly what I needed over the weekend! I got ‘The Classic’ package which gave me all day access to the spa, a 60 minute treatment of my choice (full body massage) & a 3 course lunch. The roast looked better than it tasted but overall I enjoyed my meal - the bread and hummus had me in a chokehold!

It seems I went on a good day as it wasn’t too busy and cleared out towards the end of the day so I had most of the facilities to myself. Also, the sun shining all day really added to the overall vibe. It was bliss! It was a full day well spent. Loved every minute 😍 I went home fully rested and I’ve already started dropping hints to the fam that I will be back! 😉
