Somewhere between nursery drop-offs, work deadlines, and constant tiredness, I realised my days were slipping by without much intention.

So I created a 40 by 40 list — not to chase perfection, but to bring more joy, balance, and purpose into the next three years.

It’s not a checklist, but a gentle guide toward the person I want to become — slowly, intentionally, and one small step at a time. ✨

Who knew putting on a uniform could cause so much drama 😮‍💨

We’re three weeks into going back to school, and after many hour-long battles and lots of tears, I’m torn between respecting her individuality and setting boundaries.

Wasn’t quite expecting the terrible twos to manifest in this way… but she is our little fashionista, so perhaps I shouldn’t be too surprised 👗👠👜

Now I know why working parents are so relieved coming back to work after the summer holidays 😅

I loved our five weeks together, but I was also very ready to get back to normal programming — working in a quiet office, coffee breaks with colleagues, and some time to just stop and think.

Travelling with a toddler means our days now include park stops, nap times and a little more planning around her schedule. It’s definitely different from when she was smaller and just along for the ride, but I love that we get to experience new places through her eyes 🥰

Although, she was probably happiest when there was pasta or gelato involved 😆🍝🍦

We’ve done quite a few flights with our daughter, most recently when she was just about to turn two. This time, at 2.5, she was suddenly a little scared of flying for the first time — especially take-off ✈️🥹 Thankfully, she got over it pretty quickly, and it is so fascinating to see her becoming more aware of the world around her.

On a separate note, she was such a busy body for the whole of the flight, next time I must remember to pack more books and activities for in-flight entertainment 😅

I’ve never enjoyed packing, but it’s a bit more fun when you have company… although it’s definitely slower when that company is a 2.5 year old 😆

A slow weekend morning with my toddler 🌷

Work has been a little stressful lately, so this was the first weekend in a while that I truly felt able to switch off. Spending a slow morning together with my toddler was so refreshing 🥹

With nursery out for the summer, we’re on a mission to discover new ways to play at home. So far, Play-Doh and magnetic tiles have been the biggest hits… but we’ve got a few more weeks of summer left, so please send your activity recommendations before I run out of ideas 😂🌻

It’s mid-year review season at work, which inevitably made me reflect on the last six months.

Back in January, I had big plans: be more visible at work, get back into pre-pregnancy shape, read more, and make it back to ballet.

In reality, most days have disappeared into meetings, nursery runs, meal prep, bath time, and simply keeping life moving. Somewhere along the way, those goals quietly slipped down the priority list.

But six months still feels like plenty of time.

I’m not setting new goals, but recommitting to the old ones. One workout, one ballet class, one chapter, one office conversation at a time.

I’m looking forward to seeing what those small choices add up to by December 💪🏻
