Ten years in data and AI. Eight years building the room senior women in this field didn’t have. I’ve spoken at Collision, Government of Canada, Intuit, Ivey, and rooms across Canada, the US, and the Caribbean, on AI strategy, inclusive AI product development, and what it actually takes to build at the intersections.

So if you’re building an event in the next few months where you need an engaging, honest and knowledgeable speaker on data and AI, link is here by @daytadahta

The data and AI consulting market is full of people who shouldn’t be selling it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

People who think prompting an LLM makes them an expert.

People with no battle wounds from real production.

People who steal others’ thinking, claim it as their own, and still can’t execute.

Companies are paying them. Then watching the projects fail.

Or worse, exposing them to legal, reputational, and regulatory risk.

They don’t need more AI hype. They need the people who have actually led and shipped this work.

Meanwhile, the women who can do it are charging less. Or nothing.

Every month you stay silent or underpriced is money you leave on the table.

The economic climate is not in our favour. Every layoff cycle, every DEI rollback, every restructuring proves this. Consulting work. Advisory work. Speaking fees. That builds resilience. That’s how you stop being one quarterly decision away from starting over.

That’s what the Woven Founder Intensive is for.

If you know me, you know I’m thorough. When I redesigned this from 1:1 coaching to a group format, I wasn’t going to bring in just anyone.

8 sessions. 5 guest experts. Women who have actually built what you’re trying to build.

Cynthia Warner Beck, MBA, CFA, Fractional CFO at Lightbulb Finance, on knowing your numbers before you build anything.

Jen Barnes-Nolan, Founder of JenAI Consulting, on declaring your niche.

Andrea Bolden, Business Lawyer and IP Strategist at Goldmine Business and IP Law, on owning and protecting what you’ve built.

Karlyn Percil-Mercieca, Founder and Chief Equity Officer of KDPM Consulting & Equity Institute, on building your media kit, speaking proposal, and activating a pipeline that gets you paid.

Cher Jones, Chief Learning Strategist at Socially Active, on your online presence so the right people can actually find you and building your signature talk.

This is not a webinar series. Every week has a deliverable you develop. And you’ll have an accountability partner to keep you on track.

Applications are open until June 19. Visit JOINWOVEN.COM or comment and I’ll send the link by @daytadahta

I watched this video and instantly felt immensely proud.

You know how people describe body dysmorphia? Where you look in the mirror and can’t see yourself accurately? I have that about my work. I’ve been so close to it, so deep in the logistics and the outreach and the stage cues, that I genuinely couldn’t see how big this thing is.

This video fixed that.

Nine years. Six thousand women. And I finally looked at what I’ve been building and thought: this is my event? This is huge and looks like an amazing time.

Year 10 is next.✨

If you were at the Woven conference this year, you have access to reduced first bird pricing until May 31.

Everyone else, first bird runs until June 30 then early bird opens.

You do not want to miss Year 10. I raise the bar every year and 10 years is a milestone I never dreamed I’d hit.

Huge shoutout to our Diamond Sponsor Tech@RBC, and bronze sponsors Mistplay, CIFAR and O’Reilly. Your support means the world to me and contributes to the magic of our community.

Comment “blog” for the full article.

For the past 4 years I’ve watched how political sentiment impacts investment in anything meant to serve diverse communities. The fact that it’s happening at the same time as there is a hyperfocus on AI should ring alarms for you.

Why wouldn’t they want us at the table to contribute to the design and deployment of technology that scales so broadly?

How does the widespread adoption of a technology not warrant a more diverse representation of people involved in the creation process?

Why just the intense narrative about being consumers and end users or risk being left behind? by @daytadahta

This is the quarter you win. It doesn't matter that a week has already gone by. It doesn't matter what happened earlier during the year. This quarter is yours if you want it to be.

Here is a preview of my Quarter You Win blueprint. It's a fillable workbook for you to work through your goals, reflect, and hit the ground running.

I know that this year has been hard for a lot of us, and I may be delusional, but I feel like we can turn this around.

I’m the first call for so many women in my community and beyond. My brain basically runs on game theory so come plan the rest of your year with me.

I’ve always planned my life in quarters. I stole the habit from companies and treated myself like one long before I started Woven. Quarterly planning is what led me to start Woven. I was looking for events, courses and communities to join for the quarter. I never planned to start anything but saw the gap and took it a step at a time. 8 years later, no five year plan I ever drafted could have predicted this.

With the ground shifting beneath so many of us, I don’t want to plan Q4 alone this year. I need to be of service.

Over the last few months I’ve collected data on the mistakes I’ve made, the lessons I’ve learned, and the wins too. I’m ready to apply all of it and end this year on a (high) note I can be proud of.

I know you want the same too so here’s the deets:
Thursday, October 1st, 7:00 to 9:00 PM ET, online

We review what happened this quarter and build your plan for the last three months of 2026. You do the work during the session, so you leave with a plan. You’ll have continued access to our group chat to hype each other up through Q4 and collaborate towards your goals.

See you Thursday?

Rooting for you always 🫶🏾

P.S If you’re between jobs right now or things are really tight, msg me and we’ll sort something out. I want to see you win. by @daytadahta

Welcome to episode 3 of Living in Colour where I’m reimagining my life as a founder in AI and showing you the drafts 🤌🏾 I joined the Jamaican Consulate for their charity golf event with some other amazing founders. With so much on my plate it felt really special to have some big belly laughs. I love dates with my founder friends and can’t wait for more 💕 taken in South Ajax Golf Club by @daytadahta

Where do you learn from? Do you check your source? Do they have a track record of doing the thing they’re telling you about? Most likely no. You were probably convinced by the positioning and marketing instead of the actual underlying ingredients. And that’s not on you, it’s by design.

I’m tired of it. Audacity is what allows people to lead movements and conversations over someone better with deeper expertise, who is a better fit for it, with a stronger track record. Some women are guilty of waiting until they have all the “pieces” until they step into the role. There are other people right now who are stepping into the role with a fake it till you make it attitude. And they’re doing more than just getting by. This phenomenon also translates to your job search. Whoever performs best throughout the hiring process gets the job. Not necessarily who’s actually best at it. That could be because you know how to communicate your value or that poker face is strong.

Next May, for the tenth year in a row, I’ll be assembling experts in data and AI across business, technical and executive streams. Our programming isn’t based on clout. You may not know the names of our speakers but you should if you want to learn from people who’ve actually done it. Comment CONFERENCE if you want the link. by @daytadahta

May I speak freely? We had filters and now we have picture perfect AI creators with crazy edits? Some even getting brand deals, featured in magazines, businesses who build them for companies. Who asked for this?

I posted this last year but I fear some content creators might have doubled down 😭 Content creation should be a creative practice reserved for those willing to do the work. However now I think we prioritize volume over human generated content.

As a business owner, I have to show up online. My visibility is connected to my revenue which is connected to how much impact I can create. But as a small account <300 followers, you can see I’m not consistent (my LinkedIn has a better following). I’m running a business, I’m busy af. A fix would be to create an AI avatar or clone. But my stance on AI generated video is in violation of this. When so many things are already so fake I truly believe the differentiation will be just being yourself, your thoughts, your POV, your quirks. Maybe you don’t say all the right things. Maybe it’s messy, sloppy. Release the drafts. People want to hear from people. People buy from people.

Half the time we don’t post bc we overthink it. Content creation is a SKILL. One I’m still learning but honestly appreciate. And yes some people have teams. Get you one and if you can’t, figure out processes and tools that make it easier for you. I’ve had to carve out time to post, experiment, and learn how to use different tools.

So yes these AI creators may be aesthetically pleasing, cool edits, but who do you actually want to watch and learn from? Stop trading in your genius and your voice for volume of output. by @daytadahta
