This was about 5 years ago . Reminds me when my Lexus got a gas leak and caught fire . It was a bit stressy and also funny . It happened in an empty parking lot . It burned the liner off the hood , the FD put it out . A friend came by and zap tied my gas line together . It didn't work out well . Then , in a couple days my water pump quit and dumped my rad fluid . I was already living in my car . I never got it fixed . I had the parts but the cops impounded my car for a month or so . I met one guy that had a garage key and let me crash there behind some people's house. He didn't know them . There was another house another guy showed me . No lights , just a candle . Homeless , crashed in an "abandoned" house . Unoccupied . I sold my house about 20 years ago . by @daytonr8

Russia won WW2 but Sam's still pretending Korea and a hundred other invasions were ok . Hawaii is an annex . Democracy in the USA is a contradiction . It's extinct by definition . Americans can't export democracy . In a fascist state , defeating democracy is 1st imperative . Trump is one of the crowd , like Biden and all the crooks. Just think what the US is doing in Haiti , Peru - babies are soldiers for the Bushes and Clintons of tomorrow . Vote away .
Trudeau, Poilievre are literally at war with the electorate . The latter can't save us from the former . Not even an argument if you do any due diligence at all . by @daytonr8

Some quick snaps of some barbecue related scenes today . It was fun . A few of us residents did our part and also support staff and cute coordinator Tata and what a nice day for it . That's Jen approaching , one of the nicest evening shift possible . Fed most of 75 residents famously well , a meats fest to fulfill and amaze . At least 5 cakes lol . drum sticks beef ribs , even a bunch of peppercorn filet mignons . Community Unity . by @daytonr8

Beverly was night staff resident support worker for 2 years and recently went to Ontario for a nursing job - I was depressed/anxious for about 2 years and asked her to spend a few moments with me at about 615 every morning . Sometimes she was too tired and/or busy getting her shift report done . I often took the recycle box out back for her . I was fixated on shelling 2 hard boiled eggs and made a thing of explaining what I knew about boiling eggs so they released the shell easily which she took well , resulting in me often calling her a "good egg" . I told her that one day someone would put the ring on her finger at Niagara Falls and she said "knock in wood" .
Beverly was pretty central to my recovery with her being really my first social contact on about 5 mornings a week . She's not my only favourite but I don't think I will ever forget her .
It's almost July now and I got a late start but under the poppy and calendula the radishes and other vegetables are popping . I'm off to the Library now to make a few prints of my last drawing . It's another warm day . by @daytonr8

I'm about done , and hopefully he looks about right . It's not a 100% likeness but it's worked out alright . I think I've done what I can without a do over . Born 1890 , Ho Chi Minh about 30 +/- 3 years , while in Paris 1921 to 1923 , died 1969 aged 79 . He defeated the Japanese, French, then died a few years before the Americans left Vietnam.
