Meet Ms. Kate 🩷 For nearly a decade, I’ve poured my heart into education — not just as a career, but as a true passion of mine. In 2018, I took a leap of faith and founded Dazzling Minds LLC to create a learning space where students feel supported, encouraged, and capable. Those who know me know my passion for education and children runs deep. I truly believe every child deserves someone who will advocate for them, believe in them, and meet them where they are with patience, purpose, and heart. Over the years, Dazzling Minds became more than tutoring. It became a space where meaningful relationships were built, confidence was restored, and students were reminded they are capable of success. As both an educator and a mom, my approach has always been relationship-driven and data-informed — helping students grow academically while also making sure they feel seen, understood, and empowered. Today, that same mission is evolving to be a brand rooted in purposeful education, advocacy, community, and intentional impact. To every family that has trusted and grown with me over the years, thank you. What sets Dazzling Minds apart has never been just the academic services… For me, the most important part of our services is building genuine relationships with our students AND their parents. It’s about celebrating the wins, working through the hard moments, encouraging parents when they need it, and being an educator families know they always can count on. Over the years, so many of my tutoring families have truly become family, and I’m honored to not only be their child’s tutor, but to also become a part of their village- for the long run. 🫂🫶🏽 The relationship doesn’t end when the tutoring session does. i-Ready B-O-Y diagnostic season is quickly approaching 👀⚠️ Over the next few weeks, students will begin taking their Beginning-of-Year i-Ready Diagnostic — and while that first score gives us important information, it’s exactly that: a starting point. This is Carter’s growth from last school year: 435 → 459 → 475. Nearly 40 points of growth from beginning to end of year. 📈🌟 Our sessions are intentionally designed around each student’s individual data. We meet them where they are, strengthening foundational skills while simultaneously building the grade-level skills they need to move forward. We don’t ignore the gaps, but we also don’t let those gaps keep students from moving forward. The data isn’t the only important part though. For Carter, building a relationship where he felt comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, giving corrective feedback, and trusting himself as a learner mattered just as much. That confidence helped him use those skills not only in sessions, but independently in the classroom too. That’s what it means to use diagnostic data with intention. A B-O-Y score isn’t a label or the final story. It shows us where we’re starting so we can be intentional about where we’re going. At Dazzling Minds, the goal isn’t just a higher score.
