Gunfire Training:
•Dogs NEED TO WEAR EAR PROTECTION.
•Every dog is different and should be treated as such.
*These dogs have been around gunfire before, but this time, for the first time, they are heeling with the shooter.

•Every dog reacts to the initial shot differently.
Thor: Startled
Hendrix: Sought Avoidance
Isa: Drive increased
Rex: Calm reaction

•Initial reaction will usually tell you how to move forward with the session.
Thor: Shoot-reward,like a clicker. Resetting position occasionally.
Hendrix: Rejecting food but appreciates pats. Stayed calm
Isa: Shoot-Reward, just faster.
Rex: Food avoidance(normal for new things) Enjoys pats. Started in a down position to keep him calm.

•End Session.
Thor: Annoyed, needs shorter sessions. Slowly build duration
Hendrix: Calm and relaxed. Happy to just exist.
Isa: Wanted to work more.
Rex: Happy to be included.

@feminine.k9s Thank you for the assistance with all of the dogs.

@wardonkeyoutdoors 3 piece training skirt, removed the right side pocket to keep the pistol clear. Love this thing. Carried extra mags, extra treats and my water.

@rexspecsk9 Ear and eye pro. Ear protection is necessary to even train with gunfire. Eye pro is necessary when shooting steel targets(Have you ever been hit with shrapnel in the leg? It doesn’t hurt, but you definitely feel it. Imagine if it hit their eye. PROTECT YOUR DOGS)

@infinitytargets X @methodendeavors infinity target is amazing! No need to change out paper or sticker it up, just spray over it and keep going. An investment you will not regret!

Timo- “To Honor God.”
I had changed it to BMO because I was against God. Crazy how things work. He now goes by both. by @db_bmo

Something something bitework. Blah blahblah blah…Watch Isa fly on the 360 camera!

I might post the long 30ish minute version on youtube without music if you want to hear me ramble about bite work.

@feminine.k9s has been learning really well how to be a good decoy, now we’re working on making her a better bite work handler.

50 shades of green is alive! First .308 Still needs attachments, but she is smackin’. First time a round has gone down the barrel. The first 15 rounds were rough as the BCG wasn’t seating all the way, so I had to constantly rack it. The last 20 rounds? Butter.

Thank you @beeeft_ for putting my upper together and ordering the parts I needed! Best LGS in CA! by @db_bmo

We took extra precautions for this one 😂
And found a way for someone to take a bite for longer than 5 seconds from BMO.
