Looking back at a fantastic workshop with our guest mentor Attua Aparicio during Zurich Design Weeks.

Exploring GLASS ON CERAMICS led to such playful, unexpected and pleasing results. So much fun experimenting with materials, breaking the rules and discovering all the things that happen along the way.

Arjan Van Dal is coming back to the studio!

We’re very happy to have him back for another round of workshops, with several different classes to choose from , including two all-time favourites, Gradient Plates and Funky Patterns.

Known for his distinctive use of colour and playful patterns, Arjan brings a fresh perspective to working with clay and stains.

Jaejun Lee is back at the studio for another masterclass. This time it’s all about Moon Jars.
Working on the wheel with porcelain, our participants are exploring the delicate balance, shape and character of this iconic Korean form.

We are really happy to have Jaejun back with us, and to see the studio full of curious hands and focused minds.

So refreshing to see the workshops with Andrea Roman turn everything around, colour, patterns and their configurations became the starting point for looking at ceramics in a completely different way.

It was an intense few days, with so many people coming through our doors for the CLAY COLLAGES workshops, while CLAY × BREAKFAST became an equally intense learning process.
Zürich Design Weeks are now over, but our results didn’t quite make it out of the kilns yet. Stay tuned to see how they turned out.

Thank you Andrea, it was a real delight having you here.

How fantastic was the workshop MIRROR, MIRROR with Attua Aparicio.

A day of experimenting with glass and ceramics, and a great insight into Attua’s way of working and thinking.

Thank you so much, Attua, for sharing your knowledge, processes and ideas with us, and thank you again Hannah for supporting the workshop and making the day happen.

So many interesting pieces came out of it, and we’re very curious to see how they look once everything is fired and finished.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of having Attua Aparicio and her assistant Hannah at the studio for Glass on Ceramics, the first of our workshops for Zurich Design Weeks.

It was amazing to see everyone so immersed in the process, experimenting with different ways of bringing clay and glass together. By the end of the day, around 50+ plates were ready and are now waiting for their fusing session.

The porcelain ware was kindly sponsored by Suisse Langenthal.

Today, Attua is back for Mirror, Mirror, another workshop where again clay and glass come together in a single object.

We can’t wait to see what comes out of the kiln.
