Fabric Of A Nation for Vogue Magazine’s Summer 2026 issue

This project took me across the country that my immigrant parents, and many others, see and saw as a land of vast opportunity. It is easy at times to become cynical about being a part of an experiment such as America, with all of its faults and imperfections, yet we are still here. With flags reimagined by American designers selected by the @cfda, the quilts serve as a tapestry of the diverse cultures woven into the very fabric of America, and as a reminder that authenticity is what we are made of, not what our society is being packaged and marketed as.

To be the most-traveled Brodie is something I take great pride in, and I will never forget that there are many people looking for opportunities to take part in something meaningful, such as this project. I am forever grateful to have the chance to slow down, disappear from my own bubble for a moment, take a trip, soak up the experience, and make some pictures.

I am excited and can’t wait to see all of the flags when they go on display at @rockefellercenter for @america250! Bravo to all the designers who took part in reshaping America’s values into our own.
