Dear Dec 21, 2023,

I want to thank God for never lifting his hand off of me. I want to thank God for listening to my prayers. I did it Grandpa! When you told me in elementary that school is a bluff, so I learned the message of "I Can, I Will." When in middle school the main lesson was character, and not a trouble-maker. Or was it the lesson I learned in High School when it came to politics. Yeah, I learned, politics get grimmey. Nah, I believe it was the last message you gave me before my first collegiate championship game, that LOVE is more powerful than HATE. That LOVE is the reason why you the G.O.A.T. I know this is the best birthday/christmas gift that I could ever give you. And I did it on your day PAPA. This Degree is 4 U!

THANK YOU PAPA 4 hearing my every word. Thank you to my mom, my pops, my family and the men for always being in my corner no matter how many times things got tough. This aint the end though, this is just the beginning. Just hold on our lives going change real soon. But 4 now, I DID IT!! I GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE!

🎙️ Convos With Take2 — DMV Football Coaches Clinic

Had the opportunity to chop it up with National Christian Academy Alumni Rodney Patterson 🌟 , a young and rising defensive backs coach whose journey includes playing at Morgan State University and Bowie State University. 🏈

Our conversation touched on the differences between Division I and Division II football, and how the game demands excellence at every level when preparation meets opportunity.
Coach Patterson also broke down what truly separates a great defensive back from the rest:

🔒 Discipline in technique
⚡ Elite footwork and change of direction
🧠 High football IQ and film study
💪 Confidence with short memory
From the HBCU ranks to the next generation of coaching minds, it’s always powerful hearing perspective from those who’ve played the game and are now pouring back into it.

The game keeps growing when knowledge gets shared.
