Today, and this year, marks two years of marriage and a whopping 10 years together. Sure, I have no hair left, but that is not an accurate sign of how things are going 👴🏼

Being with someone for a decade is a damn long time, especially someone so different and as hungry as her. It’s interesting to think about how starkly we contrast each other:
•
She’s an introvert, I’m an extrovert. She’s wild, creative, and magical, I’m analytical, organized, and structured. She thinks fast but executes faster, I mostly brainstorm. She never judges and always believes people are coming from a good place, I always have my guard up. She goes out and sits in an intimate corner with 1-2 people for 5 hours, I run around venues to meet new people and insert myself in their circles for fun. The list goes on…
•
Despite our differences, we’ve found a way to nurture our relationship but, more importantly, support each other as individuals, always staying true to ourselves. Your last name may be Nabatoff, but I know you will always be a Willis and I not only accept that, I love that.
•
Life is hard, relationships arguably harder. Nothing and no one is perfect, regardless of how happy and faultless social media wants us to believe we should always be. It’s a constant process, fine-tuning and sharpening as we go. The world will continue to change, as individuals we will continue to change, and as a couple we will continue to change.

I look forward to this change over the next decade with you, and am forever grateful for our individual and collective growth over the last 10. Stay true to yourself, never be stagnant, and know I’ll always be by your side as your #1 cheerleader.
