Sometimes a story takes longer to tell because the deeper you dig, the bigger—and darker—it becomes.
Protect The House has taken me far longer than I've ever imagined.
Not because I couldn't finish it. Because I kept uncovering more.
For years, I've been investigating the culture surrounding fraternities, hazing, power, accountability—and what happens behind closed doors when something goes terribly wrong.
And then came the last few weeks.
A drug investigation involving fraternity houses at Penn State.
Disturbing alleged hazing at the University of Wisconsin.
A suspected fraternity-related death at Cal State Fullerton.
And now, horrifying gang-rape allegations involving a fraternity at @cornelluniversity
That one hit differently.
Because I have been investigating fraternity life, deaths, controversies and alleged institutional failures at Cornell for Eight years.
Eight years.
What started as one piece of my story became one of the backbones of "Protect The House", an exhaustive investigation into what happens when tragedy strikes, who has power, who asks questions, and whether families ever really get the answers they deserve.
I interviewed the DA. Families. Students. Insiders. People who were there.
And just as I was finally finishing the series, Cornell is back in the headlines.
Timing is everything.
So I decided to open the vault.
I'm releasing a small clip from one of my interviews that gives you a taste of what I have uncovered about Cornell—and why the latest headlines should make people start asking much bigger questions.
One line from my investigation has stayed with me:
“The University has more power than I do.”
That came from a District Attorney.
Think about that for a second.
Then Google Antonio Tsialas.
Google George Desdunes.
Read what happened. Read the questions surrounding those cases. Read what their families went through.
Then ask yourself whether you want to know what we discovered over five years of investigating this world.
Because I have interviews.
I have documents.

For almost 10 years, I’ve been making films about hazing, trying to shine a light on a problem that far too many people would rather keep in the dark.
And for almost 10 years, I’ve heard the same thing from networks and streamers:
“Hazing isn’t that big of a problem.”
“There’s no audience for this.”
Meanwhile, kids kept dying.
Families kept burying their children.
And the headlines kept coming.
Now, as @4000daysfilm —the most ambitious project I’ve ever made on this subject—hits the festival circuit, it feels like every week brings another horrific story from a college campus somewhere in America.
A death at Cal State Fullerton.
An alleged gang rape at Cornell.
Students allegedly tortured at the University of Wisconsin.
And on. And on. And fu**ing on.
So… still think hazing isn’t a problem, Netflix? HBO?
Maybe the problem was never that there wasn’t an audience for these stories.
Maybe the problem was that nobody wanted to look.
Well, it’s time to look.
It’s time for people to see 4000 Days.
And then it’s time to unleash Protect The House and expose just how deep this goes. And expose the assholes in charge. The ones killing our kids
We’ve spent 10 years documenting it.
Now it’s time to blow the fu*ing doors off.

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to see @4000daysfilm when it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC, and this is a film I really want more people to see.

Directed by my friend @danielcatullo, 4000 Days follows families who lost their sons to fraternity hazing and the years they spent turning unimaginable loss into advocacy, awareness and change.

Now the film is coming to the Nashville Film Festival, and I’ve been given two sets of two tickets to give away.

It’s National Hazing Awareness Week, and I’m so proud to share the new trailer for 4000 DAYS, a powerful documentary I joined as executive producer 🎥💖

So much of my advocacy has been about turning pain into purpose and using my voice to protect young people from experiencing the same harm I have faced. That’s what moved me so deeply about the families at the heart of this film.
