@magneticpress has just launched a Kickstarter campaign for an amazing new graphic novel, A Scoundrel in the New World, by @juanjoguarnido and Alain Ayroles, which I had the pleasure and honor of translating. Do your eyes a favor and go take a look! You'll thank me later :)

@magneticpress has just informed me that two of the books I recently translated for them, @mathieubablet 's SILENT JENNY and Zhang Xiaoyu's TWIN LOTUSES, have been selected by @nypl for their prestigious List of Best New Comics 2026.
https://www.nypl.org/.../recommendations/comics-2026/adults
Congratulations to the authors and everyone at Magnetic Press for all of your hard work. It was a pleasure working on those books with you.
And if you enjoy reading comics, go take a peek at the list! There's something for everyone on it! by @dcartoons0213

I'm not doing the Inktober challenge this year, but am really looking forward to seeing what all the participating artists come up with. It's always inspiring to see such spectacular art, day after day, and one of the reasons I love the month of October so much.
I've just launched a Patreon page, where I'll be posting art and exclusive updates on my upcoming comic book work from here on out. The first post is free of charge (link in bio), so feel free to stop by and take a look. Hope to see you there soon.
Good luck to all you dedicated Inktober artists out there. Happy Inktober! 🙂 by @dcartoons0213

A couple of quick comic book updates: even though the trade paperback edition of PARANORMAL: DEATH STRIKES AT MIDNIGHT (published by Black Eye Books) is currently out of print, the digital version is still available on the @blackeyebooks website.

I just found out that my comic book DUELS will be on sale at Blurb.com between March 21-23. Use the code BOOKFIND15 to get -15% off 😊

AND if you a) need to use the restroom, b) want something to read, c) have no money, or d) all of the above, you can find links to my free online comics on Grandpapier.com (including BLACK JACK: THE DELIVERY and BATMAN: THE LOTUS AND THE DEMON), as well as the aforementioned projects, in my bio. 😊

One last thing: in between translation jobs and teaching, I'm hard at work on my RAT FACE comic book, and will hopefully be able to post some teaser panels, sketches, or other artwork on my CARA page in the weeks to come. Thanks for reading!

I don't post much art on Instagram
& Facebook anymore, but for anyone who wants to see anything I draw these days, feel free to swing on over to https://cara.app/dcartoons (or click on the Linktree link in my bio).
I haven't had much time to post anything lately, but I'm hoping that will change in 2026. Stay tuned!
