🚗 Come Visit Los Angeles. Not for the skyline. Not for the sunshine. Visit the ICE Detention Facility in downtown and bear witness. Here, behind open-barred windows, people abducted in raids across Southern California are being held, not because they’re a threat, but because they were targeted. Friday night, we stood outside those very windows. We saw their hands waving. We heard their voices. … and they could hear us. And we made sure they heard love. The “Hotties for Humanity” and friends sent every sign of peace, every signal of hope we could. Heart hands. 🫶🏻 Sign Language. 🤟🏼Messages of solidarity. Words carried across the concrete by nothing but open air and determination. And they responded. Even from their cells, they showed us love back. 💖 🔖 This is your invitation. Come see it for yourself. Bear witness to the quiet violence of these cages and to the undeniable humanity still shining through the bars. Bring signs. Bring music. Bring your voice. Most importantly, bring a message: “You are not alone and you are loved.” by @dcbcrash

Last Thursday will weigh on my heart for a lifetime. I am sharing this because it's important to know that this is not some far away battle - it is here now. Facism is not just on our doorstep but in our house - we must do what we can to fight against it. the audio and photos are all from that day from the phone I am writing to this on right now. I have included photos of me to show you that it is people and faces you know that are out here - we are your community and we need you with us. now more than ever. follow @vcdefensa @805immigrantcoalition @ridealliance805 el pueblo unido jamas sera vencido! by @dcbcrash
🚨 BREAKING: The CARE Policy Passes in Ojai … Unanimously! 🌈✊ Last night, the City of Ojai took bold, unified action by voting 5–0 to pass their own version of the CARE Policy, becoming the second city in Ventura County to adopt this framework of protection and dignity for all residents. But Ojai didn’t just follow in Ventura’s footsteps… they built upon them. 💪 The Ojai CARE Policy includes the same foundational pillars: immigrant protections, gender-affirming care, and reproductive freedom, and adds a new, vital fourth pillar: protections for people with disabilities and neurodiverse communities. 🌻🧠 This is what the CARE Policy was always meant to be: a living, breathing framework, designed to grow, adapt, and reflect the values of each unique city it touches. From Ventura to Ojai to Oxnard (where we are actively co-creating the next version with community orgs on the ground), the CARE Policy is becoming a movement. A shared roadmap. A declaration that local governments can say no to hate and yes to humanity. Each city customizes it. Each city adds strength. Each city reinforces the message: We will not cooperate with federal overreach. We will not criminalize care. And we will protect our neighbors… all of them. Ojai, thank you for showing the region what courage and compassion in action look like. You totally understood the assignment. 🩷 #OjaiCAREPolicy #CAREPolicy #ProtectEachOther #TransRightsAreHumanRights #ImmigrantJustice #ReproductiveFreedom #NeurodiversityRights #TheAmberShow #OjaiStrong #VenturaCounty #SolidarityAcrossBorders #LocalLeadership #805Strong #FrameworkForFreedom by @dcbcrash

I continue to speak even with my voice shaking even when I am stumbling over my words - my amazing community continues to speak through tears through terror. I am so proud to stand with these beautiful people. thank you Ojai city council for receiving our vulnerability with respect and for this beautiful accomplishment. by @dcbcrash
