Twenty years have passed since I first stepped behind the camera to begin filming Closure, my debut feature—a defining moment that launched my career in filmmaking. The film went on to be showcased at the prestigious Woodstock Film Festival alongside Little Miss Sunshine, was recognized by Filmmaker Magazine as one of the Top 5 Independent Films of 2006, and ultimately led to my representation with the William Morris Agency.
Looking back, it’s a reminder of how far the journey has come—and how quickly time moves when you’re doing what you love. by @dcdowning3
