Many years ago, Codie and I brought a house in Queensland because Sydney was out of reach for us. I remember working 6-7 days a week, often missing out on time with loved ones and telling my boys I couldn't get on it because of work the next day.

We dreamed big about what we'd do with our house once we moved in. It's been a journey filled with both fear and excitement, but these past two years have been about turning those dreams into reality. We've been transforming our house into our cherished home.

This past month has been intense with long work days followed by renovating with Dad - adding a fifth bedroom, a study nook, revamping the front entry, and even putting in a pool! 🙌

Training got called off due to the weather so spent the afternoon developing Destons mechanics for stepping, change of directions for his kick returns from wing or fullback

Happy Birthday Lea, To think we have spent over half our lives together.. and in every season our love gets stronger and stronger.. looking forward to our years to come.. with our kids getting older, means more trips chasing sunsets .. you know what's up till my last breath I got you .. To my brothers thank you for giving this old boy a spot in a stacked side... It was a real honour lining up with you all... First time jamming together and it’s a trip I’ll never forget...

I’m always telling my son, bro find your role in a team, do your job and do it well... Put yourself in the picture, give 110% for your teammates, every single play...
We had all the strike, no doubt!!
but for me, defence i pride myself on... There’s no better way I can repay the boys than locking down an attacking set after we score… or ripping momentum back when teams think they’re rolling... Middle or link
I’ve got my teammates 💯 with my voice, my effort, and sticking to our defensive policies..

This one’s not about touchdowns… this is a defensive clip. D policies, saves, man-on touches, energy .. the stuff I try install in my boy..

To My Son, I know you won't see this but..

I just want to say something from the heart...

I'm sorry, son. I was that guy bro the one who said, "Don’t worry about skipping, just focus on league." And man, how wrong I was...

From school comps, to state level, to nationals and now, at just 12 years old, you're about to represent your country on the world stage. The world stage! I look back and realise how short-sighted I was... Skipping wasn’t just a side thing son it became your path to something incredible...

It’s opened up doors to elite training camps, world-class coaching, and a mindset I know will carry you far ... in sport and in life. You’ve shown such commitment, courage, and humility. And now, you're not only chasing your dreams... you're taking your whole family across the world to experience a new culture, a new chapter, all because of your hard work...

We are so proud of you, bro not just for what you’ve achieved, but for who you are becoming through the process. No matter the result, you've already won in our eyes...

Go out there and represent your whānau, your friends, your coaches everyone who believed in you... that tautoko you to make this trip..

Deston might be new to league, but he's no stranger to working hard... We're putting in the effort in the effort areas, when no one's watching.. building skills and strength one step at a time.. im trying my best to give him my all, to stay consistent and keep showing up for him. I know the grind is all part of the journey.. and journey is a long one..Proud of the heart he's putting in.. love you son mum and dad always in your corner #HardWorkInSilence (but filmed this session 🤦‍♂️🤣 just to give yous a insight)

Proud doesn’t even come close. ❤️
Watching you give absolutely everything you had over the last 24 hours was next level!!
You pushed through every wall, every moment of exhaustion, and never once backed down.
That kind of grit and drive all comes down to how strong your mindset is and I’m so lucky to be beside you and watch what you do!!

You and the teams at @crossfitremi left it all on the floor to pay respects and honour the men and women who gave their lives so we could have ours.

24 Hours of Heroes is such an awesome way to raise awareness about the sacrifices and challenges military personnel and first responders face. Being able to learn their stories and help keep their memories alive is something we’re really grateful for.

Thank you @crossfitremi for the community and allowing us to learn and be apart of this special event.
