What if a haircut could be the start of a career? 💈

Yesterday on BronxNet, I shared why I built Groomed 4 Greatness Guild alongside A.T.O.M Styles. We use the trust built in the barber chair to connect young people and people returning home with mentorship, workforce pathways, and a community that believes in them.

The haircut gets someone in the chair. What happens next can change their direction.

Thank you, BronxNet, for helping us bring this conversation to more people. If you know a young person who needs an opportunity—or an organization ready to create one—share this with them. 🤝🏾

Developing Leaders Through Discipline.

Thankful to Mama Pam Warner for giving me the special honor of memorializing my brother and bestie Malcolm Jamal Warner at his celebration of life. This masterfully curated evening captured and relived his life through some powerful reflections by family, friends, and the various intersections of his personal and professional journey. Grateful to catch up with some old faces as we all shared in reminiscing the depth and breadth of his life. We rest in the truth he understood and completed his assignment. 🙏❤️ by @dcjaime23

$ 150.00 Dollars plus to fill up a car or SUV’s gas tank anywhere in America should be criminal!! 😡Credit card balances are being cut and America is buying back its own debt. Many are waiting on Thursday’s economic report to be released to anticipate what’s next. No need to wait. We already know- The Recession is About To Be Televised!!! 🙏😡 #savemoneylivebetter #pray #Act #vote by @dcjaime23

In my capacity, I receive many invitations to speak and/ or attend events, but this was one right here was a special highlight for me! Bryson, one of my youth, invited me to his school to be his guest for his school’s Donuts for Distinguished Men event.

I had the opportunity to visit the school, meet some of his teachers, (great student👍🏾) Afterwards we went to the rec room and he and I played a couple of games for almost an hour before he headed back to finish out his school day. We went head to head playing Connect 4, but he totally dragged me 3 times when it came to playing Jenga! 😳 It was truly an honor for him to think of me and select me to be his guest. It was also awesome to spend some time with my youth outside of the four walls we are accustomed to. Bryson thanks for the invite, and trust, I will get my Jenga game up by this summer!

It was a privilege to offer both the Invocation and Benediction as Fire Chaplain for the Syracuse Fire Department during the graduation ceremony for Recruit Class 2026-1. 19 weeks ago I met this recruit class and spoke to them about perseverance. Next week, they head off to station houses as the newest Syracuse Firefighters. Congratulations!
