For 2 ½ years I’ve been working on a short film called Freedom. It’s a look at life in occupied Hebron of Palestinian human rights activist and poet @badeedwaik and how his poem “Freedom” sparked a friendship with my talented neighbor @hannahrooth and inspired her trio @highlysensitivegays to create a beautiful song from it, which inspired me to make this film.

Grateful for the footage contributions from artists in Germany, Ireland, US and the West Bank, including some HS kids in Hebron!

Today being the 4th of July, seems like an appropriately ironic day to share a piece of the film, the music video for the poem and song Freedom.
