After the the engine swap on the Superman Jeep, there were a couple of rather large holes in the floor pan that were made to clear new components.
The largest hole was just in front of the driver seat and I decided to make a removable housing to make repair and maintenance simpler in the future. I ended up using material that was previously removed from the hood! Once complete, the new housing and the floor were covered in dyna-liner.
Im loving how this turned out!

Car Hauler drive over fender build part 1.
This week I finally got started on new fenders for the old car hauler. I have been wanting to build a set of drive over fenders for some time and Im really digging how the first one came out. I plan to add some additional decking in front of and behind the fenders , as well as skirting of some sort.
This project has been a breeze using my @millerwelders multimatic 215 Pro. What a fantastic machine!

As I continue to prep for @kingoftheoffroad , I completed an updated version of a skidplate setup on the Superman Jeep. I built the plates out of 1/4" sheet and bolted everything together with 1/2" grade 8 hardware.
I couldn't be happier with how this turned out!

Completed some more work on the YJ today in preparation for @kingoftheoffroad in September.
I removed the 12 gallon fuel cell that I've been running for years and swapped in a 20 gallon tank that I found on marketplace. I fabbed up some mounts for the tank and also a mounting plate for the filler cap.
I kept the current @milwaukeetool storage setup for tools and spare parts. Next up, is finishing the front half of the skid plate and getting bump stops mounted on the front end. taken in Edmond, Oklahoma by @dcoffroadfab

Out with the old and in with the new! As I continue to prepair the Superman Jeep for @kingoftheoffroad in September I swapped out the old and worn out Astro van steering box for a ported @redheadsteeringgears box and added an assist ram!
Im really looking forward to getting back on the trail with this huge upgrade!

Ive had a plan for awhile to build a set of stout, frame mounted rock sliders for the tow rig that would still provide good day to day function.
The plan is to use 3x2 rectangular tubing for the slider and bend up step rails out of 1 3/4 round tubing.
Today I busted out my @jdsquaredinc tubing bender and made the step rails.

I spent a little time working on the 14 Bolt that I am building for the Superman Jeep.
I test fit the disk brake conversion kit from @eastcoastgearsupply and did some painting. Im loving the way this is coming together! Next will be to do the final fit on the @tmrcustoms truss and weld it up.

I finally got started on a new skidplate setup for the Superman Jeep! I decided to go with 1/4" plate for this project. The plan is for this to be a two piece skidplate so that the Belly and oil pan skids can be removed separately.
All of the plates for the belly are tacked together and it fits great.
Im still working on plan for the oil pan skid. Stay tuned!!

The new dash is complete and installed in the Superman Jeep along with an @ssvworks radio that has AM/FM, Weather band and Bluetooth capabilities. This head unit, paired with a set of Trailtunes speaker pods works well.
I also relocated the @holleyperformance touch screen and added a @rammounts to hold mobile electronics.
While I was at it, I installed a couple of LED interior lights and wired them to the factory roller switch.
I love the way this turned out and i can't v wait to complete the center console!
