很多朋友和同事总是问我：“哦，你是中国人吗？你妈妈是中国人吗？你爸爸是中国人吗？但你看起来不像中国人啊？”

究竟怎样才算“中国人”?
一定要长得像吗？
一定要会说中文吗？
一定要住在中国吗？

长久以来，我都不明白做中国人意味着什么。但随着年岁增长，我开始意识到：无论你是1%的中国人，还是100%的中国人，只要你展现出中华精神与文化，你就是中国人.

这也是为什么，在这次的 HYROX 赛场上，是我第一次以自己的中文名字正式参赛。在这之前，我从未在任何正式场合用过这个名字.

We finally figured out a routine that works, everyone is sleeping through the night and life feels totally under control.. so naturally, we decided to ditch all that 🤪

Cheryl is absolutely crushing the pregnancy game once again 💪 We’re officially bracing ourselves for double the diapers, double the coffee and a 0% chance of a quiet house for the next decade ☕️🍼

Our family is adding a new cast member this Autumn and we couldn’t be more excited 🍂🎉 by @dconsti

🕛 Three years as HK City Leader 🏁

[1️⃣] The most interesting chapters in life are the detours - I never planned to get stuck in New York City during a global pandemic and never thought I’d join a run club.

Somehow, I found Midnight Runners NY during one of the lowest points in my life while isolated halfway around the world from family and friends.

It gifted me an amazing community and new friendships right when I needed them most - I’ll never forget Wednesday nights blazing down the West Side Highway then kicking on to Rockbar for karaoke and Joe’s Pizza after midnight 🏃🏻‍♂️🍻🎤🍕

[2️⃣] When I moved to Hong Kong, that gift kept on giving. From day one, I was welcomed into a new country and community with open arms. I was lucky enough to be invited to join the leadership group as a Captain after one run and haven’t looked back since.

Over the last three years, I’ve had the honor of being HK’s City Leader and looking after a community I deeply care about. Leading MRHK has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

I’ve also had the opportunity to run and collaborate with our crews in Tokyo, Sydney and London 🌐 MR is truly global and truly special 🫶

No matter how much effort or hours I invest back into MR, I’ll always feel like I got more out of it than I put in. The lifelong friendships and core memories created are priceless, I’ll cherish them forever.

[3️⃣] For now, I’m stepping down as City Lead to let the next generation of leaders take us forward and make our community even better with more epic fitness and social experiences.

This is NOT a final goodbye! I’ll still be running on Thursdays as a Crew Captain and helping out behind the scenes - transitioning to a supporting cast member as I slowly step away from the Midnight spotlight 🕛

A lifetime’s worth of memories created in the last three years 🥹 Thankful for every moment and every person in this journey ✌🏻

It was amazing to see everything come together at @boostuphk for an unforgettable weekend 🌟🌟🌟

Loved the collective energy and enthusiasm from all the runners, we’re from different clubs but all part of the same community 💪

@midnightrunnershk brought unbelievable energy to the morning ⚡️ which kicked off with @enricatcy & myself leading an incredible warm-up to fire everyone up 🔥

@utahlee & @mr.chanyip had the crowd in the palm of their hands with an incredible performance leading CantoPop Fitness Party 🕺🏻💃🏻🪩

Thanks to @mannings_hk, @charlztrevor & @kelvinlamy for the invitation ✌🏻

Tokyo🗼You were worth the wait ❣️
(..and the impossible lottery odds)🎌🤞

Couldn’t be happier to finish my 11th marathon, snag a 6th @wmmajors 🌟 and a new Personal Best time on the flat (but sunny 🌞) streets of Tokyo 🎉

I felt the love from the global @midnightrunners family all the way through this journey 🖤 Special shoutout to the @midnightrunnerstokyo crew for organising a set of great events on race weekend 🎉

Thank you to @zeroling930 & @tripink_sport for the elite training program to secure another PB and to be able to arrive at the start line injury-free and run strong the whole race 💪

Cheers @hoka_hongkong for the race kit and amazingly fast Cielo X1 3.0 shoes 🎽👟

Very proud to see @deepkarman hit a huge 30min+ PR and @jadejjiang almost BQ in her marathon debut 🏅

.. I’m not sure what’s next for me but this one is going to be hard to top 🥹
