David Contreras ~ drummer, producer, Amigo ~ articulates the tension of expression amidst the strain of modern perils.

If anything, perhaps we need to go harder in the pursuit of art and music making as a form of active resistance to fear and despair.

Got to hang in Berlin and reconnect musically with an old friend. @vincent.arp and I grew up together musically until our paths split in 2011. He moved to Amsterdam and I moved to LA and we hadn’t played together since - What a joy getting to play some jazz together for a few nights in our home country’s capital. by @dcontrerion

That’s a wrap! 70 shows - 30.000km
What a crew, what an insane adventure!! I’m beyond grateful to everyone involved and for the support from our friends, fans and family all over to make this possible. Seeing my home continent and country from this perspective and getting to share it with my US friends was a uniquely special and beautiful experience. We will be back!! @thisiskarmic #karmictour2019 by @dcontrerion

We’re taking some time in nature to write some music. Can’t wait to flesh out some ideas and create new vibes. And what better place than this to do so? #karmictour2019 taken in Millstätter See by @dcontrerion
