Artist’s Statement: My work began with printmaking, where repetition, discipline, and craft became central to my practice. Inspired by José Clemente Orozco’s *The Epic of American Civilization*, my ongoing series *American Epic* reimagines American history, identity, and mythology through allegory and personal observation.

Now expanding into installation, sculpture, and performance, I use projects like George Washington Jr. to explore American history, identity, mythology, and the ways those narratives are constructed and reimagined.

‼️CHECK IT OUT‼️

“Opportunities” is a symbolic exhibition. Representing how our existence is worth more than we think. It’s easy to feel that we have no purpose, but within the last 12 years, knowledge, inspiration and opportunity has been passed down between generations. Silently encouraging artists to pursue their dreams (one Artist at a time). Special thanks to @dcpressworks, @metztlipress, & @print_matrix_space for providing the opportunity to exhibit.

Marbling paper / Last month’s obsession, and maybe this month’s as well ! These papers are from Traditional Japanese accounting books called - Daifukucho translation “book of great fortune” made with kozo washi paper and charcoal based ink for the calligraphy. Used by merchants for bookkeeping and inventory. Today they are used in art making (collage) and collecting. I took apart the books and marbled the pages for artists to use in their own work, and they are also beautiful enough to frame ! They will be available at @print_matrix_space at @upstairsatbluestar ( Blue Star Studios) Thursday and first Friday ! #daifukucho #collage #worksonpaper #paperlove #marbledpaper by @dcpressworks

One of my favorite things I found out as an artist, is when other artist wants one of your art works. Thank you @dcpressworks for letting me create this custom Rainbow 🌈 bear. It was such an honor to make something for such a wonderful artist and friend. It really means the world to me to create this for you and to know it’s in great hands. by @dcpressworks
