We’ve all seen and done maternity photoshoots, but have you ever seen or done a maternity VIDEO?!

This was my first time doing a maternity video shoot, and I was so excited not only to try something new, but to be able to capture real and authentic movement during a maternity session.

We made it 🍾

Today officially marks one year since I registered DC Productions LLC and decided to go all in full time.

At 23, I try not to use my age as an excuse for not being where I want to be. Truthfully, this year has challenged me financially, emotionally, and mentally more than I expected. There were moments where I questioned myself, but through it all, I kept showing up for my clients because giving people memories they’ll have for a lifetime is why I started this in the first place.

Looking back, it’s crazy to see how much has happened in just one year. I was able to purchase my first car, buy my dream 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, fill my first 8TB hard drive, expand into offering three-camera podcast and wedding productions, hire editors to help with video projects, and collaborate with some incredibly talented creators.

But more than the gear or the milestones, I’m most grateful for the relationships I’ve built with clients, venues, and people who have become genuine friends along the way.

The biggest thing I gained this year wasn’t a new lens, a new car, or new equipment it was the confidence that I’m capable of building something bigger than myself.

I’d be lying if I said I have everything figured out. My systems and workflow are still improving every day, and I know there’s so much more to learn. But if this first year has taught me anything, it’s that consistency beats perfection. I’ll keep showing up, keep learning, and keep building a business that I hope one day can thrive even without me.

To my family, friends, clients, and everyone who has supported me whether you booked a session, shared my work, taught me something, encouraged me, or simply believed in me thank you. Every bit of support has helped me get here.

Here’s to my first year in business. 🥂
