A little concrete confetti to brighten up your feed today!

Dispersing the chip isn't just the most visually satisfying part of our install process—it's actually the secret to a floor that works just as hard as it looks. These little flakes are doing the heavy lifting to create a safe, slip-resistant micro-texture while giving your garage that premium, custom aesthetic.

Consider it the ultimate cherry on top of a flawless polyurea basecoat.

The heavily dispersed chip texture provides maximum grip, making your space safer to walk on, even when wet.

Engineered to withstand hot tires, dropped tools, and daily wear without peeling.

After dispersing the chip, we let it cure into the basecoat. But we can't seal it just yet! To ensure the floor is comfortable to walk on and isn't sharp or jagged, we run flat-edged scrapers across the entire surface to knock down any vertical chips.

A thorough industrial vacuuming removes all the excess, leaving behind a beautifully level, textured surface that is fully prepped and ready for the final clear coat.

Next up: The final seal!

When it comes to upgrading your concrete, we believe you shouldn't have to compromise on style to get industrial-grade durability.

That is why DCRETE offers 24 premium color blends, ensuring you find the exact match for your garage, patio, pool deck, or commercial showroom.

But our decorative chip broadcast does a lot more than just look good. Here is the science behind the flake:

Slip-Resistant Texture: We apply a full, wall-to-wall broadcast of chips that creates a textured, micro-grip surface, making your floors significantly safer—even when wet.

Fade-Resistant UV Protection: Every single color blend is locked down by our UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. This acts as a permanent sunscreen, guaranteeing your rich colors will never chalk, fade, or turn yellow in the brutal Florida sun.

Industrial Durability: Once sealed, this multi-layered system is engineered to withstand heavy foot traffic, dropped tools, and hot tires for decades.

Whichever of our 24 colors you choose, you get the exact same permanent, slip-resistant performance.

Part 4: Dispersing the chip: The most satisfying part of the process!

The basecoat is down, and now the real transformation begins. To get that flawless, high-end look, our crew immediately disperses our premium decorative chip material entirely by hand.

Why do we do it by hand? It allows us to control the exact flow and guarantee a perfectly even distribution across every single inch of your floor before the coating cures. This critical step is what creates that slip-resistant, ultra-durable texture that will look incredible for decades.

Getting a new garage floor is a big investment, and unfortunately, not all contractors are created equal. If you are getting quotes from different companies, make sure you investigate these three things before handing over a deposit:

1️⃣ What is ACTUALLY covered in the warranty?

The Red Flag: A company that boasts a "lifetime" warranty, but the fine print has a million loopholes and explicitly excludes peeling from hot tires or moisture damage.

The DCRETE Difference: We offer a straightforward, rock-solid 15-Year Warranty that protects your investment against peeling, chipping, and UV yellowing.

2️⃣ How are they prepping your surface?

The Red Flag: If they say they are going to "acid wash," power wash, or just sweep the floor before painting it, run. The coating will fail.

The DCRETE Difference: We use heavy-duty Lavina diamond grinders to physically open the pores of your concrete, guaranteeing a permanent, lifetime bond.

3️⃣ What product are they actually using?

The Red Flag: They use standard, outdated epoxy that sits on the surface, turns a hazy yellow in the Florida sun, and cracks under pressure.

The DCRETE Difference: We exclusively use a self-priming Polyurea basecoat (which is 4X stronger than epoxy) and a 100% UV-resistant Polyaspartic topcoat.

Don't leave your home in the hands of a company that cuts corners. We are an open book about our process because we know it is the best in the business.
