🥊 Tested out Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do in Landa Park with Beverly and Clay from Warrior Society!

🥋 Even with my background in MMA, boxing, and Kung Fu, their focus that day was on fight theory, fast-reaction drills, and reading openings forced me to think totally differently.

📍 If you’re in New Braunfels, definitely check out @warrior_university for upcoming training and follow their page!

🧠 Also, keeping my focus locked during training thanks to @dubby.gg

The sword doesn't sell the scene—you do. ⚔️🎬

When you’re working with blades on set, lazy movement sticks out immediately. If you want your choreography to look sharp, precise, and lethal on camera, you have to dial it back in training.

Here’s the rule: Practice slow, highly emphasize every single movement, and build that muscle memory.

When it’s time to perform, all those slow reps turn into fast, clean, effortless execution. That’s how you impress directors and producers—by showing up 100% ready, prepared, and reliable.

Beyond looking good, preparedness is safety.

Proper practice makes you look good, makes the whole team look good, and keeps the set safe. The last thing you want is to be the person who injures the main cast because you were unprepared. Preparedness is key. 💯

Also, don't forget—drilling choreo over and over requires real focus and energy. Head over to the link in my bio to grab some Dubby Energy. It’s packed with clean ingredients, vitamins, and amino acids at an affordable price—and you can grab an extra 10% off right now using my link! ⚡️

🎥I'm obsessed with creating realistic practical effects. It helps immerse the audience. It helps your actors react appropriately. As well as assisting the vfx team to composite and enhance the effects for your scene.
.
🧑‍🔬This experiment ran me about $600 to see if this is movie worthy. For most people, no it's not worth it. But for people like me who are slaves to their craft, it's worth the investment.
.
🔍I go more in depth of this effect on YouTube. All my links are in my bio.

🔴Not very many people are pushing the limits of their craft. If you're like me, go ahead and follow me on this unique journey.

📽️If you want to see the difference between cutting corners and pushing limits, compare the infamous repeating digital muzzle flashes in Rise of the Black Bat to the in-camera rig I just built in my apartment.

🔫I modified an airsoft tracer unit so it throws a realistic muzzle flash without actually firing any BBs. It cost a little over $600 and took a full week of tedious trial and error. Is it necessary? Not really. But doing the tedious work is the difference between an amateur and a professional.

💪Challenging myself to build things that entertain, inform, and inspire is why I created DC Visive.

🔴I just dropped a full, unscripted breakdown on YouTube where I share my raw thoughts and show you how to get the same look.

🔗All my links are in my bio!

💸Am I dropping another $600 on a crazy effect anytime soon? Probably not until I get more funding, LOL. But you can fuel the next lab experiment:

⚡Hit the link in my bio for a discount code on Dubby Energy. I drink it myself, and while I do earn a commission, you're getting a top-tier energy drink while directly supporting the channel.

✅Don't settle for the easy way out. Do the work.

Practical muzzle effects enhanced with some compositing.

We live in a world of CGI and AI produced content and you're witnessing the rejection of both. I appreciate what AI and CGI has to offer, but when it becomes your product, you lose authenticity.

Seeing how even The Odyssey directed by Christopher Nolan is rejected because of the unauthentic historical depictions. You can see how much people crave real content. Real moments. Real people.

Growing up, Jackie Chan made me want to be a stuntman, and Christopher Nolan made me want to be a filmmaker. What they both have in common is how they want to showcase human abilities. That drive for authenticity is everything to me.

This is why trying to make practical effects like this muzzle flash, was a goal for me. It might be a hit or a miss, but the true value is in the lessons learned.

That is exactly why I built DC Visive.

Everything you see here is edited, produced, and managed by me. It’s a lonely journey trying to be the best—carrying the burden of late nights in the lab so I never waste anyone else's time—but the internet proves you don't need Hollywood to make an impact. You just need the stuff. And my past work proves I have it.

I’m looking for the real ones who want to work for the art, not the ego. I am incredibly close to hitting 1,000 subscribers on YouTube, and I’m inviting you to grow with me. Let’s build a community of creators pushing the envelope on a shoestring budget. Let’s push each other to do better: pray more, read more, get fit by getting more steps in, and produce authentic content.

Hit the link in my bio to subscribe, stay tuned for the full breakdown of this muzzle flash rig, and let’s get to work.

While I was at the tow yard, I heard an auctioneer. Later that day, in the shower, this idea came to life. A week later, we were filming. Somehow, everything that could go wrong... did. 😂 But everyone who showed up, adapted, and made it happen.

Thank you to every single person who believed in this ridiculous idea and gave it your all. Couldn't have done it without you. ❤️
