The sticky hand series continues…This time it’s hot pink.

Thanks to color from @olympiccolors (R232 rod 🩷!) and…a studio residency from @starworksnc

Remember when these would stick to everything until they became fuzzy little dust collectors? Mine’s made of glass, so hopefully it’ll stay a little cleaner.

What color should I make next? Find a color at https://glasscolor.com/ and post it in the comments below 👇🏻 taken in Starworks by @dczeey

Breaking Glass is a short documentary exploring groundbreaking New York glass artists Deborah Czeresko (@dczeey) , Grace Whiteside (@graciewhiteside) , and Tomoko Amaki Abe (@tomokoamakiabe). The film from directors Jessica Levin (@jessic11_) & Alexander Krause (@krause.xyz) not only captures the evolution of the studio glass movement but introduces the people who push its boundaries formally, conceptually, and demographically. Once a male maestro-dominated field, these women, non-binary, and queer artists are challenging norms and bringing new concepts, practices, and people into the hot shop.

Stream the documentary on our YouTube today as we celebrate the finale of Pride Month on Crafty! Link in the bio to watch!

From their residency at The Studio to the powerful B-Team performance at the GAS Conference, it was an unforgettable start to summer with @dczeey 🌟

While developing new work for their “Big Fruit” series, Deborah moved between the hot shop, Museum galleries, the Rakow Research Library, the Shops, and conversations with curators, artists, staff, and visitors. Each space offered them a different perspective on glass—as material, history, culture, commerce, and a living artistic language. It was a powerful reminder that making doesn’t happen in isolation, but through dialogue, research, observation, generosity, and shared curiosity.

“My time as an Artist-in-Residence was far more than studio time in a seamlessly run, fabulously equipped glass shop. It was an opportunity to immerse myself in a community and institution where glass history, innovation, scholarship, and making exist in active conversation with the present. The fruits I was making became part of a larger conversation about collections, craft, value, representation, and the stories objects carry. I leave Corning with new work, new questions, meaningful connections, and a renewed appreciation for the ways institutions, collections, and creative communities can deepen and expand an artist’s practice.” -Deborah
