This little love turned 3 months old this week!! How did that time fly by soooooooooo fast!? We are so blessed to have him in all our lives @jessdcureton and @mdcureton! Counting down the days til we see you all again! #family #grandsons #grateful #familyfirst #blessed by @ddangott

“Sometimes the smallest things take up the biggest room in your heart.” (From Winnie the Pooh). Precious new photo from my daughter @jessdcureton with her 10 week old son Casey. ❤️❤️ #family #daughter #motherhood #babyboy by @ddangott

“You don’t go to the trail to escape…you go to the trail to return to yourself.” Hubby Larry @ljdangott and I are counting down the days til our next extended trek ‘out west’ and the trails that await us there. We’re heading out to Zion NP (Utah), Great Basin NP (Nevada) and Grand Canyon NP (Arizona), and finally to Jemez Mountains, the Chama River, and Abiquiu (New Mexico) before we turn homeward again. Seemed like an appropriate way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary together this year. Grateful for so much in our life together, including the fact we can still hike in remote places, camp in the same backpacking tent we bought ourselves as a wedding present way back then, and continue to revel in some of the extraordinary landscapes and environments we have explored together for all these years. #getoutside #naturerx #hiking #wanderlust #makememories by @ddangott

There’s a new little Aggie in the family! 6 week old Grandson Casey enjoyed getting into the spirit with his own personal ‘yell practice’ and generally getting into the spirit for the TAMU football season opener this evening with @jessdcureton @mdcureton @ljdangott and me! #tamufootball #tamuathletics #futuretamuaggie #gigemaggies #lilaggie by @ddangott

Welcome to the world little one! @ljdangott and I are overjoyed to be with our beautiful grandson, Casey Cureton! So proud of his mother @jessdcureton and father @mdcureton as they begin this new chapter in their life journey together. #family #familymoments #babylove #preciousmoments #grandparents by @ddangott

According to John Demont in THE LONG WAY HOME “Everything in Nova Scotia is touched by the sea.” I have to agree. How could it not be? It feels so good to be back here, and to see this landscape again—to breathe in the fresh, salty air—to listen to the rhythmic sounds of the waves against the rocks—to absorb this place and all of its unique beauty. We are here in a very different season than when we were last here. It is quite a contrast to see it in Spring as compared to this past Fall. Both season have been glorious in their own right. And our past three weeks in Newfoundland and Labrador were equally as spectacular. It is amazing to us how a place can feel so much like home, even though we’ve never lived here...except maybe in our dreams. #novascotia #canadian #nature #landscapephotographer #naturephotography by @ddangott

Honored to have one of my photographs ‘Sea Grape Study’ (2025) on view in the highly competitive 2025 International Juried Exhibition at the @centerphotographicart gallery in Carmel, CA. Many thanks to juror @cigharvey and executive director @ann_jastrab for this opportunity to exhibit once again at CPA, and to be included with so many of my photographic colleagues and friends whose work I value and admire. I will not be at the opening reception this evening in person, but I will be there in spirit. Cheers to all for a gorgeous exhibition! If you are in the area please go enjoy the show in person. Thankful. Grateful. Loved. Blessed. And I hope that each of you are feeling this way today too. #family #grateful #thankful #loved #blessed by @ddangott

I sat down today to begin a knitting project with beautiful yarns that I recently acquired in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia at @marinersdaughter. I do not often post vibrant color work images here, because I tend to work in monochromatic tones in my visual art. However, I think today is a good day to do so. My husband and I just spent a glorious month exploring the Atlantic Maritime Provinces. Dare I say a transformative journey occurred for both of us on that extended trek. I was inspired and intrigued with the landscapes, the geological history, the flora and the fauna, as well as, the cultural and human history. And the warmth of the people we encountered every single day. It felt less like ‘going to’ a place and more like ‘coming home’. So much so it has sparked a transformation of sorts within each of us. We are eager to return…and we will…in the coming new year. In the meantime, I am starting to explore several new creative projects, including media other than fine art photography. This little knitting endeavor, which I find very meditative, is the perfect kickoff today as I contemplate ‘what next’? #fineart #fineartist #fineartistsofinstagram #artistsofig #artisticphotography #fineartphotography #nature #naturerx #naturephotography #creative #novascotia #atlantic #lunenburg #north #wander #allwhowanderarenotlost by @ddangott

Just a small sample of some of the Black & White images that I will be hanging tomorrow in the gallery at @degallery.us in Bryan, Tx. Huge gratitude to @agaveprint in Austin, Tx where Peter Williams and his team always give me exquisite prints and personal service like no other print studio I have dealt with elsewhere. #fineart #finearts #fineartprints #fineartphotography #fineartphotographer #blackandwhitephotography #contemporaryphotography #photographer #landscape #landscapephotography #landscapephotographer #fineartistsofinstagram #texasphotographer by @ddangott
