Exciting changes are coming to DDB Canada.

Today, we announced a strategic restructuring of our executive team. Current CEO of DDB Anderson, Kevin Brady, has been appointed as DDB Canada’s new President and CEO.

Former Chairman Frank Palmer returns to the fold with his business partner, Bob Stamnes, to take the reins of DDB’s Vancouver office, under a new banner Palmer Stamnes DDB.

Megan Hardisty joins the DDB family as the new MD of DDB Canada Toronto, from her recent position as SVP GM of Red Magnet.

The executive team will continue to benefit from the longstanding leadership of Helene Leggatt, President of DDB Edmonton and Patty Jones, President of Palmer Stamnes DDB. “These moves fully leverage the deep knowledge and valuable experience of DDB and Omnicom’s past and current leaders, to ensure our agency is poised for reinvention and growth across Canada,” said Chuck Brymer, Chairman of DDB Worldwide.

From adopting new ways to support and collaborate with clients to finding a quiet place at home to hop on a conference call, DDBers around the world have worked hard to adjust to our industry’s “new normal”. Last Friday, nearly 100 team members gathered via video call from offices in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton to participate in a guided meditation session for some self-care and pause. A big thank you to our meditation teacher @lodrorinzler. In these isolating times, coming together–even digitally–can be a comforting reminder that we’re all in this together. 🙏✌ by @ddbtoronto

Always amazed by the creativity and humanity of our talent. DDB Toronto’s Copy Editor & Proofreader Stephen Vogan @s_vogs is participating in the Friends for Life Bike Rally, a 600 km cycle ride from Toronto to Montreal to raise funds and awareness for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation.

To encourage staff to help Stephen reach his fundraising goal, he dropped off sweet treats and this list of “25 Acts of Appreciation.” For each pledge of $20 more, in addition to his appreciation, staff will also receive one or more entries into the Grand Prize Draw at this month’s Hot Dog Day.

A reminder of DDB’s fourth freedom – the Freedom to Be.
FREEDOM TO BE
The first priority of an organization that depends on its people for success must be the well-being of every individual. Each has a right to be treated with dignity, to be encouraged and supported in his or her ambitions for higher achievement, and, to the extent possible, to be provided with a place where a career can grow in the direction of the individual’s own choosing. But beyond providing for professional growth, talented people must also be allowed to enjoy a life in which there is time for personal fulfillment, and for laughter, love and celebration.
