3 schools in 3 years. i could have never imagined this would be my story. thank you @coachemilier and @christianvegas_ for the incredible opportunity to ride the wave at Calumet College of St. Joseph. the love you guys showed me from the beginning of this new chapter was something I could never be more appreciative of. huge thank you and love to my friends, family, girlfriend, coaches and everyone else who has helped me along the way. all the laughter, lessons, and love you guys have filled me with will forever be carried with me where ever it is that life takes me.

with that being said I will officially be taking my talents and furthering my studies in Psychology and Human Services at Calumet College of St. Joseph. I am beyond blessed and excited for this next chapter of my life.

forever a mighty oak 💙

-with Oakland City University shutting down, I’ve been given the opportunity to go back and really appreciate the time and my chapter spent in Southern Indiana. Being a mighty oak wasn’t about being loud and proud, but instead being given the opportunity to represent something bigger than self.

Coach Ben Twigger gave me an opportunity in the spring of 2025 that truly changed my life. At the time I had taken a gap semester because of financial struggles, and less than four months later St. Andrew’s University shut down just like OCU has. During one of the lowest points in my life, Coach Ben never forgot about me. He believed in me when I honestly struggled to believe in myself. There were moments throughout this time where I questioned if volleyball was still meant for me. But Coach Ben continued to stay in contact with me and helped give me a new sense of purpose and direction. Moving from outside hitter to libero was something we both envisioned, and he helped me make that transition in the best way possible. He constantly gave me opportunities to prove myself, even when I felt overlooked or doubted. Coach Ben is the type of coach every athlete hopes to have at some point in their career, and I’ll always be grateful for the impact he has had on mine.

I will always be grateful for the bonds that I have made with people around campus. I am most grateful to have met the beautiful girl who has continued to fill my entire life with a love I wish everyone had the chance to experience. and to the brothers that I have made, I hope you guys find the best path for you. I would go to war for every single one of you. although I am beyond devastated, I am so beyond grateful.

love is something so precious, so valuable.

how lucky am i to travel with someone who makes me laugh, smile, and continues to bring out the best parts of me? it’s easy to lose sight of who we really are and what we really value, when we’re so focused on being “in a relationship” or “having a boyfriend”. but it’s never about that ideal, it’s about WHO you want to love. and WHY you love them for them. don’t lose sight of who you are because you’re so focused on this picture perfect version of life that doesn’t exist. surround yourself with people that remind you to slow down. find someone who allows you to slow down. thank you for being that person for me. i love YOU @dddeonte . by @dddeonte

when you are looking for a partner in this thing that we call life make sure that you are able to call them your bestfriend because that is what allison is to me. she lifts my spirit just being around her. i’ve never met a person in this entire world with as beautiful of a soul that allison has. it’s so evident in her life, her friends, her family, and the interactions she has with others. she brings the light to every room that she steps in. i never thought i would ever be able to experience such a selfless love until i met her. love is sacrifice and she does just that. she sacrifices her judgment, her feelings, her everything to make sure that i’m/we’re okay. i’ve never felt something so reciprocated, it’s truly the most beautiful thing i have ever experienced in this world. you make me a man allison. you give me so much purpose and so much peace in a world that is so chaotic. i could never ever thank you enough. nothing can ever come between us.
