This full moon in aries was a LOT : a reckoning with pain and healing; wound and salve. 🌕 With it came this poem. I’ve been an aries staring into the void, in the trenches of the abyss. Now I am grateful for the wisdom of the moon, whose illumination shows us that the void is only ourselves, we need not be afraid. We have the tools and the map. We need not resist surrender. ‘Through weary courage, love sustain, through unending courage, love, sustain’Bird of Peace Orchestra started life as an ad-hoc house band for a Do You Have Peace? show supporting @rogerrobinsononline at the cube.The record is made up of a series of one-take recordings, jams, and largely unedited in-the-room practice sessions, captured in the moment.‘Summer never came I was outside in the bitter cold silver metal ice glitter goldunder street lights still young but I’m feeling old’Lyrically the record consists of a mix of spoken confessionals, mantras, affirmations, and late night ballads.Live guitar, synths and vocals were added as we sat around in a room listening for hours to 8 bar loops, while @intelmercenary_42069 overlaid drum patterns on his workhorse MPC 2000XL.
