Many thanks to Phases Magazine for publishing an excerpt from my portfolio The Sea, A Mirror (link in bio). I’m a big fan of @phasesmag, especially their daily instagram offerings that often take my breath away.

“Phases Magazine (started on December 2012) is an online magazine that focuses on international contemporary photography. We are publishing weekly a selection of 3 portfolios. Phases Magazine is a form of exploration of beauty into the field of fine art photography.”

Wow, still processing the magical weekend on Salt Spring Island and the exchange of art and ideas with the Southern Gulf Island artists. My family was hosted by the wonderful painters John and Patricia MacDonald. Both exhibitions at @artspringssi and @saltspringarts were inspirational and expertly curated by Richard Steel and Patrick McCallum. And we had an enchanting wrap up dinner at the home and studio of Anna Gustafson and Paul Burke. Lots of effort went into making this happen on both sides of the border. We look forward to hosting the next exhibition in the fall @sji.museum.of.art

I am honored to have my work included in Archipelago- Contemporary Art of the Salish Sea. Opening reception is this Friday, April 21st at ArtSpring on Salt Spring Island.

"2023 will see a unique and important cultural exchange between two of North America’s most celebrated arts communities – the San Juan Islands of Washington State, USA and the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada. In a celebration of artistic life in the Salish Sea, art and culture will move between the islands, exploring the differences and similarities within these creative communities. In Archipelago - Contemporary Art of the Salish Sea, three major exhibitions form the basis of this unique exchange of ideas, featuring work from some of the finest visual artists living and working in the archipelago.”
