Holy crap. What an incredible show, cast, crew, and above all what a message. What an honor it has been to share the stage with this incredibly special group of humans for my, as well as a lot of theirs, final high schools show. The journey this show has gone through has been amazing to watch, from the moment we had finally gotten it under time, to us having one of the best days of our year at the zoo. I love every person that was involved with this show, and I’m beyond glad to keep it as a fantastic memory forever. Think freely, think for yourself. There couldn’t have been a better reminder of what great friends I have than prom! These people made something I thought would’ve just been another formal event into something that made the end of my senior year feel complete. And with that, the 2024 season has come to a close. I wanted to focus on all the people who have really shaped me and changed my life this year. The amount of people I have newly met whom have changed my life forever is insane, and I am beyond thankful to have met all of you, thank you for making me, me. There are many other people that instagram wouldn’t give me the room to display my love for on this post, so part two on the spam! I hope to keep all of these lovelies in my life as everyone enters a new chapter of theirs, and I wish that this next section contains all anyone wishes for. A funny thing happened on the way to the forum! What a wonderful and challenging experience to kick off the senior year! What this cast, crew, and directing team have put together in such a short amount of time is truly incredible, and I admire each and every one of you who have helped to contribute to such an amazing show. SUMMER 2024⁉️⁉️ So many incredible memories and journeys have been made over these past few months. I’ve learned a number of lessons I plan on holding close to heart and made a number of friends I hope to keep. What an incredible experience. The entire worst part of camp is leaving it behind and having to say goodbye to all of the incredible people i’ve met along the way. To our counselors, namely Isaac and Josh, thank you for your advice and support at all times through the process. To Kessler, thank you for adding so much to the show in both creative new ideas and positivity which helped us to come so much closer together. To Group A, thank you for all being so willing to work together and making everyone in that group feel welcomed and included by simply shouting “Aaaaay!”. To Gambill, I’ve said this in person but i seriously could not have asked for a better director to give me a new viewpoint on not just a style of show, but acting in itself, you have inspired me to do so much more with my own ideas and creativity than i think i would’ve been capable of had i not met you, you’re an amazing man who keeps together a tight crew. To Mariner, thank you for creating such a loving environment where truly the only emotion i ever felt in there was happiness and love. You all are so incredibly talented and i know something great is waiting for each and every one of you in your futures, and i don’t think i could’ve asked for a better cast to work with period. To everyone at the lunch table, thank you for making every meal so enjoyable and hilarious. To the Dead Poets of 12221, yall feel like brothers in such a short amount of time, i’ll never forget the late night functions. Love you Nic, 36, Ian, Blane, and Ben. To Sean, thank you for being my day 1, you’ll always be the me that’s two hours away, and i’ll never forget about you. To Durand, thank you for sticking by me through the whole show, you been such a good brother to me and i’m so glad i was introduced to you before we even got cast in the same show. To Harper, thank you for being such an amazing co-lead, your work is truly inspiring and thank you for the amount of trust you placed in me since day one of rehearsals, you’re incredible as an actress and as a person. Thank you Sam for being wonderful for me as always <3. I may be saying goodbye to some of you forever, but you’ll forever live in my mind. I love you all. by @ddeeaannbaum
