as a kid i would go to my uncle robs house in jersey and go on nj transit & head to time square. it felt like the movies man lol seeing all the people, the big lights, and the billboards. they stuck with me. years later i would come back and began writing. everytime i came id say over and over “one day imma get a billboard in time square” and thanks to God, hard work, @drehoward , & @soundcloud (special shoutout to @hofonsmash & @jalendevon) it happened. i shed a real tear looking at this man. it is a dream come true but all it made me think of was what’s next. seeing other artists billboards before mine & waiting for it motivated me, mark my words. one day imma take over every billboard in time square for a rollout. i love you DDKULT. Downtown is a cult-classic MTV animated series from 1999 that captures the diverse, gritty, and vibrant youth culture of late-’90s New York City. Created by Chris Prynoski, the slice-of-life show follows a quirky, multicultural group of friends navigating urban life, anchored by Alex Henson, an anxious, pop-culture-obsessed copy shop employee who still lives at home. Much of the show’s charm revolves around Alex’s awkward crush on Serena, a cynical, alternative goth girl who often remains aloof to his feelings, alongside a memorable cast that reflects the city’s underground art, music, and skate culture. Movie: Eternity (2025)
Song: Retroactive Jealousy by DDK
is a romantic fantasy set in the afterlife where love doesn’t end with death, it becomes something you still have to choose between. In the film, Joan (Elizabeth Olsen) arrives in a liminal afterlife
“junction” where souls have a short window to decide where-and with whom-they will spend eternity, forcing her to confront two defining loves of her life.
What makes the story compelling is the emotional conflict at its center: Joan is reunited with her longtime husband Larry (Miles Teller) and also her first love Luke (Callum Turner), who died young and has waited decades for her arrival. Instead of treating this as a simple love triangle, the film turns it into a question of identity-who she became with each of them, and which version of herself she can’t let go of.
The afterlife setting gives everything a strange mix of whimsy and sadness, where surreal “worlds” exist but the real weight is still emotional rather than visual.
