My son: Why are you always eating breakfast late in the day? Why do you always go to bed so late? Why do you cook dinner late?

Me: Cause I’m going through Perimenopause……amongst other things.

Listen I now understand when my grandmother use to say “you ain’t got my feeling”. Peri is a beast! I was trying to fight her for the longest, hoping I would get myself back. Now, I’ve just learned to adjust to my new normal and to be more flexible. I heard at the end of this evolution I’ll be a new woman.🦋 So if my bedtime time is 5am, I eat breakfast at 4pm, Dessert at 6pm, and I go from eating healthy fruit one minute and Red Velvet cake the next….It’s okay just mind your business🤪😂

On Saturday, I attended the home-going for Ms. Hattie👼🏽, a friend and former co-worker. I had the pleasure of getting to know her when I worked for Project Renewal. I always enjoyed our conversations. Ms. Hattie was always sweet, kind, and helpful. She also did not take any mess. As I got to know her, I learned she was a retired nurse, and she enjoyed going to the casino. I instantly told her about my Auntie Queen because she was a retired nurse, and she enjoyed going to the casino too. Ms. Hattie invited me multiple times to go with her to the casino. I regret I didn’t take her up on the offer. Ironically, I met Ms. Hattie after my Auntie passed and being in her presence brought me so much comfort. I learned at her home-going she was ex-military and so was my Aunt. Ms. Hattie’s home-going was so beautiful and it was a packed house. It is a testament of the life she lived. The pastor preached about how she served and how she did not waste her life. What a life well lived, take your rest Ms. Hattie👼🏽. Saturday we celebrated Tricia🎉🎉🎉 and a time was had. Tricia is the life of the party like another Libra ♎️ I know. @cristyodoms 🤪 She’s also one of the sweetest and most supportive people I know. Last year, when my brother passed away and I needed help with his home going she was right there and after the services she visited me. There has been so many other times she’s shown up for me. I didn’t learn until last year, after my brother passed away that he and Tricia had the same birthday. He would have been 60 last year and this year she turned 60. God is good!!! I am thankful that God blessed Tricia to see 60, and we were able to celebrate with her on this huge milestone. I’m grateful that I gained her as a cousin through Matt, and I’m grateful she became my sister-friend too.

Saturday marked my brother Darin’s 2nd birthday in Heaven!!!!🎁🎊🎉🎂👼🏽 Brother, I miss you so much. I can hear you saying, “What up, my sister?” I know your spirit is here. However, I miss your physical presence. I wish Heaven had visiting hours so I could hug and talk to you. I miss you big bro, and I still can’t believe you’re not here. I love you so much, and I will forever hold on to your love and memories.

Last year my brother would have turned 60, but he passed a month before his birthday. I wanted to have a big party, yet it didn’t happen. However, I celebrated with family and it was special. I also took my sis along with me to a Braves game because my brother loves baseball. This year I didn’t have a celebration. However, my sis invited me to a Braves game with her and her sister and dad. I had such a good time spending time with them and thinking on my brother.😊❤️
