We make this marriage thing harder than it has to be, but we do it. We do it when things are good, we do it things are bad, but we do it. And through it all so many years later it's starting to feel like that's the mantra for us. We just need to do it. Forever is a long time not to 🤷🏿‍♂️. And in between forever are infinite reasons, roadblocks, excuses, etc., to keep us from wanting to. For you...I DO (16yrs ago), STILL DO (16yrs later), and WILL DO for the rest of my life. To all of my Harrisburg (and surrounding area) friends/family, if you're interested in some good breakfast food, while ultimately supporting my daughter, Kori, and the Susq Twp's Field Hockey program, pull up to Tree of Life Lutheran Church tomorrow morning between 7am and 11:30am to get yourself some breakfast.Oh and guess what??? I’m humbled and incredibly grateful to have been recognized last evening as Male Coach of the Year at PennLive’s Sports & Scholar Awards Banquet.This honor is something I share with so many others. Coaching has never been about individual recognition for me. It’s about the young athletes who commit themselves day in and day out, the assistant coaches and staff who pour their time and energy into our program, and the families and community who stand behind us every step of the way.I’ve been beyond blessed to be part of something bigger than myself, and to work with people who constantly inspire me. Yesterday was the end of my first season with Susquehanna Twp and it was a year far greater than I could’ve ever imagined. I had the opportunity to be back on the sidelines with my guy @ddstarkboy accomplishing things we have talked about from the time we met. During that process I coached with some incredible individuals that I now consider family @bizzybody1515 @717mula and @_arch1911_ . But the success of this season is all because of the incredible young ladies that came ready to work every single day for the last five months. This team captured this coach’s heart like I never thought possible. The best part of my day for these last five months were the two hours I spent being with these girls who showed what can happen when you choose WE over ME! What it means when you buy into the program philosophy of Respect, Discipline and Effort.
